Guest Col city fan Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Am I missing summat here? He ain't that good is he?
CosbehFox Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 The Laines are like Spain, hahaha. And our Town Hall Square reminds me of Piazza Navone.
PAPA LAZAROU Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 They are without doubt nothing more than a Micheal Rodent club who we wont ever be playing again in a league match.
Nick Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 So some are saying we've bid 6.5, some are saying not and somebody else on Twitter is saying its been accepted. So who is ITK and who knows FA? I'd really like to sign this fella.
Burmesefox Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Sting used to work in a hotel in Brighton and he was a mod. he was the bell boy.

This @footy_news12 **** nugget is another one who just copies and pastes rumours or takes flyers in an attempt to look like he knows what he's talking about. Jesus about 8 posts down the twonk says we have signed Anthony Gerrard.

woznotwos Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 My mate sliced his leg open in the sea at brighton on a smashed up tin pot lambretta
whetstonefox Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 I presume the ones calling Brighton tin pot will react in a calm measured and agreeable way when the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd etc call us tin pot! If anyone slags leicester off, even if I agree with them in my mind, unless they support Leicester they will get both barrells! Why you think other clubs should accept being called tin pot and 'know their place' shows a degree of arrogance a Man Utd fan would be proud of!
Guest Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 This is turning into the big budget but ultimately dull sequel to the Maynard thread.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Am I missing summat here? He ain't that good is he? No Col he isn'tBrighton with over inflated egos think he is though. They can keep him
sylofox Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Am I missing summat here? He ain't that good is he? Be careful Col. I dared to say a mate said he was not prem class and at 6,5mil they would be laffin all the way to the bank. I got totally ripped for it. I still say at 6.5m he can fvck off I really hope we get out bid or that is niges last offer and they refuse. He ain't worth 6m plus 4 tops.

Just look at the do they mean us thread I bet most using the tinpot comment are crying cos other clubs are slagging us. Brighton are no more tinpot than half the people on this thread. Talk about kids in a play ground you can't call us names but we can call you. What next my dad is bigger than your's or it's my ball I'm taking it home.
dedlock Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Some years ago fans from throughout the leagues rallied around Brighton when their ground had been sold and their existence was in jeopardy. Thankfully they survived.I recall a fellow feeling among fans nationwide who feared a similar fate. It was touch and go with our club when we went into administration. Some sad ,ignorant fools suggest we gained an advantage when our continued existence was in the balance. I feel an affinity to Brighton fans. They have a player contracted to 2017,no need or pressure to sell. It's not surprising that we have interest in a player who has averaged a goal every other game since moving to England.B&HA may not have enjoyed the same level of past success that City have but they are no 'tinpot' club.
Bert Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 If their tinpot what does that make us ? we maybe in the premier now but their average crowds were more than ours ,it seems this tinpot crap is taking over from where all the plastic this plastic that bollocks was before .Hope we sign someone soon ....They don't have the biggest rugby union side in the country five minutes down the road that drags in 20,000 though.... Until this new stadium they struggled to fill an old athletics stadium.

Until this new stadium they struggled to fill an old athletics stadium. What a piss poor ground that was. I remember going down there and being a mile away from the pitch. I swear we took more away fans than they had home fans.

And I do not know why you use the Tigers as an excuse 80% of them would not go to the football if we gave away tickets. Tickets are to expensive and people won't pay it for the championship. Funny we have gained 7k season ticket holders for next season and most games will be sold out or there abouts. But the Tigers gate won't drop 7/8k it will stay the same as It always has when we have gone up. We have always had a huge support that can turn out for top flight games but won't do second tier.
Rich Fox Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 Everyone's gate dropped in the early 80s due to the hooligan problem. We do have a lot of fair weather fans who just come for the prem. When I was at school the new kids, had there heads flushed town the toilet, maybe we should do this to the new fans?
Marmite Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 Can we rename this the Nicky Maynard topic please. Bottom line is Brighton will dig there heals in and hold out for 10 million and then we will walk away, Brighton will then have an awful season and he won't score and be sold for peanuts to a lower side. Seems crazy to splash that sort of money on a striker with no premiership experience.

Don't the tigers draw a lot in from Nottingham and Northampton? which could be why they don't show any interest in Leicester, I find a lot don't show any interest in other sport. In fact many don't know anything about bloody rugby. This could also explain why when there's any big City news in the mercury there is a massive spike in sails yet nothing for the tigers which is why we always have the back page. You're right about the huge support though, I know so many City fans who consider themselves city fans yet don't go to many games choosing to listen on the radio and watch on the t.v instead yet they'll buy the shirts and merchandise and are passionate about their support in comparison pretty much all the tigers fans I know go to the games on a regular basis, so maybe they have maxed their support.

Until this new stadium they struggled to fill an old athletics stadium. But didn't they need binoculars to be able to see the game in that stadium?
