Corky Posted 1 February 2015 Posted 1 February 2015 Amazing to think we're bottom when we're yet to be beaten by 3+ goals. At the start of the season I personally massively under-rated the importance of premier league experience - the ability to eke out draws in tight games is critical. 3+ goal defeats for our rivals so far: Arsenal 5-0 Aston Villa Hull 0-3 Newcastle West Brom 0-3 Spurs West Ham 3-0 Hull Man City 3-0 Palace Man Utd 3-0 Hull Arsenal 3-0 Burnley Everton 3-0 Aston Villa West Brom 4-0 Burnley Chelsea 3-0 Aston Villa Aston Villa 0-3 Arsenal Man Utd 4-0 QPR Swansea 3-0 West Brom Spurs 4-0 QPR So QPR have lost by 3+ twice, Villa 4 times, West Brom 3 times, Burnley twice, Palace once and Hull 3 times. Nice that teams choose us to play in second gear against.
Unabomber Posted 1 February 2015 Posted 1 February 2015 Before the United game I was looking at our results since Pearson's return and noticed how rarely we are heavily beaten. Our only 3 goal losses so far are 2-5 against Chelsea in an FA Cup game and 1-4 against Brighton after the team had got pissed the night before. We've not lost by more than 3 yet. Wow that is pretty impressive.
lcfcsnow Posted 1 February 2015 Posted 1 February 2015 Swansea have two players with squad numbers above 50 playing today, yet Kramaric wasn't allowed to choose a number above 45. Killjoys at our club.
Guest Col city fan Posted 1 February 2015 Posted 1 February 2015 Villa really are appalling this season. God knows how they beat us.
Vacamion Posted 1 February 2015 Posted 1 February 2015 Definitely a red for Bertrand. That was Kung Fu.
Phube Posted 1 February 2015 Posted 1 February 2015 Bloody Southampton... just cost me 8 points on Fantasy Football...
ADK Posted 1 February 2015 Posted 1 February 2015 Villa 11 goals scored in 23 matches, not in relegation zone Really if you look at form we are in a decent position. Villa, Hull and QPR are all basically sinking. Burnley are simply not really good enough. I'd say us, Palace, West Brom and Sunderland are all similar in terms of being fairly poor but getting the odd result.
AKCJ Posted 1 February 2015 Posted 1 February 2015 What a stupid post that is! More to a goal than the finish. The build up to Chelsea's goal was superb I wouldn't go that far. One over the top ball to Hazard followed by a squared ball that should easily have been dealt with. Hardly tika taka stuff.
Dan Posted 1 February 2015 Posted 1 February 2015 I am going to be so pissed off if we go down from this league this year. Surely Villa are going? No way can a side that dire actually not go down?
foxfanazer Posted 1 February 2015 Posted 1 February 2015 I wouldn't go that far. One over the top ball to Hazard followed by a squared ball that should easily have been dealt with. Hardly tika taka stuff. Well I would! That's why I said itJust seems like your intent on being a dick
ScouseFox Posted 1 February 2015 Posted 1 February 2015 further reminders that some people think this league is full of quality and there are no bad teams in it
Soar Fox Posted 1 February 2015 Posted 1 February 2015 I like Pearson but it just shows how tactically inept he has been this season that we are sitting bottom of the god awful league.
CosbehFox Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 In the process Burnley get him for the rest of season but make feck all money.
ADK Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 I'm not surprised, if you could sign Ings for next season for a few hundred thousand you'd be daft not to. No doubt Dyche will moan about it but that's what happens when you leave players contracts to run down and don't sell.
Guest seanfox778 Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 The Ings saga has been very odd, we supposedly had a bid rejected, then he's linked to Liverpool, then Man City and now it appears he's off to Spain.
ADK Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Real Sociedad is a very odd one. Not really. The chance to play in La Liga under a British manager is surely quite appealing.
Corky Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Apparently the compensation due is a lot less in Europe than over here.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 What compensation? If a club signs a player under 24 who is out of contract they have give compo.
CosbehFox Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Apparently the compensation due is a lot less in Europe than over here. No compo at all if he goes Sociedad. Will allow Dyche to keep peddling out his poor me line though. PL or No PL next year.
Dan Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Not really. The chance to play in La Liga under a British manager is surely quite appealing. Not criticising it. Just didn't see it coming.
