I'd definitely have Ings over Balotelli at the minute.

Origi has been poor on loan by all accounts.

yeah origi got booed off earlier in the season for lille. but when you've had to resort to playing a 3-4-3 which involves 3 attacking mids and no strikers it would surely be absolutely nuts to have (presumably) £20 million pounds worth of strikers out on loan.

apparently liverpool are buying ings and loaning him back to burnley for the rest of the season.

this is to go with origi who they also bought and loaned back to lille, whilst they continue to play with no striker because the strikers they do have are absolutely ****ing shite. great business sense.

With Kramaric, didn't someone say that a PL club isn't allowed to buy a player then immediately loan them to another PL team in the she window? If so, surely that would apply here? Or is it different because it's the selling club?

Never heard so much shit in my life being spoken on Sky atm.

Talking about Lampard and how he wont celebrate and how Chelsea fans will love him even if he scores the winner tomorrow, something I think every single football fan in the World already knows.

If Thierry Henry had ginger hair and spoke in a Scottish accent we would all be laughing at how much bollocks he talks, incredible manure spewing out his mouth. 'This is why we watch Sky Sports' - No it fcuking isn't Thierry and I'm not believing it just because you tell me it is in a fancy accent in a nice suit.

When did this supposed respectful non celebration crap all start?

Posted

tbf I wouldn't celebrate if I was lampard, but I wouldn't have gone to city in the first place soooo

Posted

I can understand Lampard not celebrating, but we've probably reached the point where if Nick Powell scored tomorrow he probably would be muted out of respect.

Posted

I can understand lampard not celebrating, however if he did and I was a Chelsea fan it still wouldn't bother me, but like you say it's getting ****ing ridiculous now as players who spent 5 minutes on loan somewhere are refusing to celebrate now. GTF scored at huddersfield last season and ran off celebrating while there fans applauded him. Was there any hate towards him after? Far from it. So don't insult our intelligence with this mock respect crap, if you score a goal you should be happy, how can you control it? I do a lap if I score in five-a-side.

carragher's done a decent article on the situation I reckon. there was no point in him joining city if he was genuinely arsed about chelsea or their fans.

if he cared so little as to join city, he shouldn't care about scoring against Chelsea

If you score a goal you should celebrate, exceptions can be made if it's a Lampard situation just because he had such a long and successful association with them, it must of been a mind blowing feeling when he scored against them at the Etihad. I remember some fans really hating Dickov for celebrating against us when he scored for Blackburn in that cup game but at the end of the day he was just doing his job.

Don't blame Lampard. Chelsea didn't offer him a new deal. That's their problem.

I agree Henry has been crap so far.

The hate in the Dickov situation though was because it wasn't a penalty, clear dive.

but if your career was pretty much over, you'd won everything there is to win at leicester and become a complete and utter leicester legend but they decided the time was right to let you go on a high as one of our best players ever, would you really want to piss everyone off by going to, let's say, spurs (who in some parallel universe are challenging us for the league) for what was initially a 4 month loan?

the best case scenario for lampard is he wins the league, which he's already won umpteen times, and in the process beats chelsea to it and risks being much less of a chelsea "legend". not worth it imo. gerrard's got it right by saying he will never, ever line up in competition to liverpool because they are his club.

I listened to him last week and he just spoke total nonsense, like listening to Robbie Savage in a French accent.

Sky are paying him a fortune I bet as well.

An upper class Savage is exactly what he is.

But to be fair nobody thought much of Carragher or Neville when they started.

During the World Cup he wasn't great.

The stations must realise that great players don't always make great pundits.

Owen, Henry, Cannavaro, Scholes, etc...
