Grandad. Posted 21 July 2014 Author Posted 21 July 2014 Stokes punched a wall in the Caribbean and shown he was a big passionate Englishman.. Straight back in the side. Jordan did nothing wrong, like the most of you said.
RowlattsFox Posted 21 July 2014 Posted 21 July 2014 The way this series has gone so far with tails, can broad, plunkett and Anderson see it home....
Guest MattP Posted 21 July 2014 Posted 21 July 2014 Can see Morgan, Buttler, Bresnan and Kerrigan coming in for the third test.
Corky Posted 21 July 2014 Posted 21 July 2014 Unbelievable, one getting out to a hook shot into a trap is bad enough, for three to do it is ridiculous. What could've been a memorable finish and possibly a wonderful victory has now turned into a senseless collapse and handing India the game. Sharma's not a great bowler, he has a fairly simple plan and our batsmen decide to help him out. Things have to change, these collapses are pitiful.
marko Posted 21 July 2014 Posted 21 July 2014 Can't believe we've made such an average bowler like Sharma look a world beater.
Captain... Posted 21 July 2014 Posted 21 July 2014 Madness, we should still be in a decent position none of those wickets were earned, they were gifted. Why did Broad keep chasing those wide ones, he got lucky with the boundary that should have been a warning.

This collapse wasn't the problem, it was the top order collapse that put us in this position, we shouldn't be relying on our bowlers to get runs.
Swarles Barkley Posted 21 July 2014 Posted 21 July 2014 I would go for Cook Robson Ballance Bell Root Morgan Buttler Broad Plunkett Anderson/jordan depending on ban Kerrigan
surrifox Posted 21 July 2014 Posted 21 July 2014 how can these twats call themselves test cricketers? they're a feckin joke . Stokes - one good game in half a year Prior - since being named as a wisden cricketer of the year has done absolutely feck all . Unfit and currently useless with the bat and a bungling keeper Robson - useless; county/ club cricketer at best Bell- gutless . Time to go harsh if they were facing a psyched up Mitchell Johnson or Dale Steyn but we' re looking at Ishant feckin Sharma FFS

Vacamion Posted 21 July 2014 Posted 21 July 2014 Prior has been a great servant to his country, but I get hte feeling we've seen the last of him at this level.
Corky Posted 21 July 2014 Posted 21 July 2014 This collapse wasn't the problem, it was the top order collapse that put us in this position, we shouldn't be relying on our bowlers to get runs. This collapse is part of the problem, Prior, Stokes (incredibly bad shot) and Root gave their wickets away, and to a lesser extent Ali. Cook, to his credit, made them work to get him out, as did Ballance. The Indians probably can't believe that three players have got themselves out in the same fashion within 15 minutes.
RowlattsFox Posted 21 July 2014 Posted 21 July 2014 Has bad as this afternoon has been, we should never have been chasing 319 on the final day. Bowling has not been good enough all summer. Too many players out of form and making stupid decisions. Not sure whether Cook is the problem or not.

Bobby Hundreds Posted 21 July 2014 Posted 21 July 2014 Too many players out of form and making stupid decisions. Not sure whether Cook is the problem or not. Can't all be Cook. Broad and Jimmy have over 550 test wickets between them and have bowled like drains. There is something definitely not right with Peter Moores too, why he's been given another chance I'll never know!
Grandad. Posted 21 July 2014 Author Posted 21 July 2014 Cook Root Ballance Bell Morgan Ali Buttler Bresnan Broad Plunkett Anderson At least with Big Bad Bres, there was aggression in his bowling.
Captain... Posted 21 July 2014 Posted 21 July 2014 Prior has been a great servant to his country, but I get hte feeling we've seen the last of him at this level. The way they were talking earlier, he is a broken man, all kinds of injuries and niggles that seem to be affecting his keeping and batting. Shouldn't keep on playing in that condition no good to anyone. We have a number of options at wickie, Bairstow and Buttler, being the obvious choices but also Chris Read if you want some experience in there, current county Captain too.
Guest MattP Posted 21 July 2014 Posted 21 July 2014 I missed that. You gotta be kidding, Bell is our most talented batsman, to suggest he goes while Ali stays is ludicrous.
Grandad. Posted 21 July 2014 Author Posted 21 July 2014 Ian Bell being called gutless is worse than the pull shots that have been on show today.

James Foster is the best county wicket keeper, but i'd plump for Jos. Get him in for the long haul.
