Dan Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 Red for Pereira lol This is seriously falling into place for us...
Nalis Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 Uruguay without suarez are like portugal without ronaldo, pretty average. No doubt suarez will start against us . Not sure that result helps England it's made a 3 horse race a 4 horse one. I agree, great for the neutral though!
Manwell Pablo Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 Red for Pereira lol This is seriously falling into place for us... We actually might have a better right back than the opposition for once.
Dan Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 Absolutely perfect. I'm amazed by how poor Uruguay were. Seriously going off Cavani. I think even a mediocre England display would've beaten Uruguay today but Uruguay will be a different prospect with Suarez. However - we've been handed a huge chance here. We simply HAVE to take it.
Danizen Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 It must be awesome to be a Costa Rica fan. Everyone was going on about a three way battle with Costa Rica nailed on to finish bottom yet they've just battered Uruguay. Uruguay has been massively overhyped. They only have three good players.
Leicesterpool Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 Well another shock... blimey weren't Uruguay poor despite playing five at the back they still conceded three. Costa Rica well done to them, on Uruguay I do fear the backlash from this. Time to bring on the England. Why on earth wasn't Suarez playing?

Good for us balls in our court but, it means Uruguay have to come out against us or hope to beat Italy and results going their way. Hope we don't play for a draw tonight though.

Why do you think its so good for England? surely now the group has got even harder? A 4 horse race instead of 3.
kingfox Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 I said people are underestimating Costa Rica; however I never thought they would win 3-1. Joel Campbell ripped them to shreds, seems he is starting to show his full potential, class performance. It was a boring game, then Costa Rica turned it exciting in a matter of minutes. This World Cup is great
steveherbe Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 Can we get that Campbell on loan from Arsenal? Sensational.
Dan Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 Why do you think its so good for England? surely now the group has got even harder? A 4 horse race instead of 3. It's made me seriously question Uruguay. I can't see them being that bad on Thursday but I genuinely believe they're beatable now.
Corky Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 If we sign Diego Lugano, Kingy could have a faces thread rival.
BoneDog Posted 15 June 2014 Posted 15 June 2014 If we sign Diego Lugano, Kingy could have a faces thread rival. Did you see his two faces when he slid in for that tackle, I thought of the King thread straight away.
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 15 June 2014 Posted 15 June 2014 I always thought Uruguay were overrated. They didn't actually beat any big teams to reach the semi-finals in South Africa.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 15 June 2014 Posted 15 June 2014 1-0 for Costa Rica. Joel Campbell to destroy them. *cough* *cough*
The Doctor Posted 15 June 2014 Posted 15 June 2014 I always thought Uruguay were overrated. They didn't actually beat any big teams to reach the semi-finals in South Africa. They beat South Korea, who were semi-finalists in 2002... Why not say that of Spain after friday? afterall, they beat Paraguay and Portugal to make the semis, who'd done as much of late as South Korea & Ghana. But of course, you're a tool who knows less about football than they think, and so base their opinions off how big a name the sides have...

Spain then beat Germany in the semi-final and Holland in the final. Big difference.
