Luis Suarez Bites Chiellini

Yes. There's a time and place for everything.

You can't blame the English yellow press for jumping the bandwagon, though. They're just too good at it.

I find it funny how you're trying to shift the blame away from Suarez and onto the media.

Oh, wait... You don't support Liverpool by any chance?

I do support Liverpool, yes, well done.

I'm not blaming anyone apart from Luis Suarez, he did the stupid act. I just don't get the hysteria around it all, I really don't? You are all acting like he has never done this before. More importantly the media are acting like he has never done it before.

He will get a massive international ban, that's it. Forget it, move on.

Yeah we should probably discuss this, but should the media? Should the English media really be talking about Luis Suarez for the next week or should they be talking about what went wrong in Brazil, why did it go wrong in Brazil and how do we make things right for France in 2016?

The Spanish papers won't be full of Suarez and the incident yesterday.

You know what the media are like. Another Suarez controversy will always pull in attention.

I'd say what went wrong in Brazil for England was talked about heavily as soon as we had to rely on other teams to qualify and knew we were facing elimination. What Suarez did yesterday was something fresh to talk about (in isolation, not that he's a repeat offender). I mean, who bites someone at a football match? Let alone at the World Cup with millions and millions of people watching and scores of cameras on you?

It's clearly going to grab the headlines and for good reason too.

Ask Alf-Inge Haland what he would of preferred of Roy Keane, a bite or a strong tackle?

I've woken up still the same, ashamed of what he has done, but the reality is he hasn't killed anyone, he has done it before so why are people so surprised, England are out the World Cup but we would rather discuss this and Liverpool won't sack him for it.

Well Keane didn't even injure Haaland, he was playing again a few days later, then retired due to a long standing problem with the other knee to the one Keane hit. Regardless, filthy challenges like that don't make what suarez did any less disgusting or dangerous. Any less than a year ban would be a diagrace.

Nasty tackles are part of the game and as bad as some are you can see why they're done, whether it's accidental or just out of frustration.

It takes a full on freak to get annoyed and think the best thing to do next is actually try and eat another person.

Spot on.

I don't like the idea of just banning him from International football, surely a precedent is set here to ban him from all football for a while, it's a 3rd offence.

He plays football in the ENGLISH premiership you plank, of course he will get coverage within our media. Not a hard concept to grasp.

I'm sure all will be forgotten next season by Anfield if/when he rocks up.

I feel a bit sorry for Suarez as he probably has a mental illness, there is another way of looking at it.

Quite the opposite. Most people are outraged because of the fact that he has done it before, and after four years and three seperate incidents of the same nature, it's clear that the bloke hasn't learned a fucking thing about how you should behave as a person, let alone on a football pitch.

In a sport where we lament the lack of integrity and sportsmanship, it baffles me that certain people are actually jumping to his defence, and it's saddening to think that, after he serves his ban, he'll likely end up back playing club football on a hefty salary, because it doesn't seem to matter how much of a cunt you are, as long as you're good enough.

That was a disgrace and he should have been banned.

In his defence though, he never did it again.

No, you're right, he hasn't. Fair enough.

You can't just pick and choose though your punishments, banning him from all forms of football is wrong, this is an international incident not domestic.

Ban him for two years for all I care for Uruguay, if he stays at Liverpool that will only benefit us.

I honestly don't know what the precident that was set was after his second ban for biting, was it Worldwide or could he still compete for uruguay?

The whole system is fcuked up, it's so wrong you can perform domestically but not International or vice versa, if it's drugs, assualt on refs etc it's a ban from all football, like most other sports I think it should carry across the board.

It would be farcical to ban him from International football for 6 months when in reality it would probably be one game.

All football I'd hope, six moths should do.

Mike Tyson was fined $3 million and banned from boxing for 15 months for biting Holyfield. Imagine the Uruguayan rats face if that was handed down to him. I genuinely hate Suarez and I barely hate anyone. It's just that he embodies everything that is wrong with modern football. He's a filthy, diving, cheating **** of an animal. If he had bit 3 different people in 3 separate occasions in the street he'd be locked up for at least a year.

Is that too ridiculous? I don't think Liverpool should be punished (as much as we all would like them to, eh Grandad?) but this is the second time he's done something of this magnitude for Uruguay at a World Cup - he'll try anything to gain an advantage and the scumbag doesn't deserve to play in another tournament and what're the point in just banning him for friendlies?

There's some serious overreaction here. He's an idiot and a weirdo but at the end of the day it's a little bite. It's the third time he's done it so the punishment should be worse that previous but like some people have said, it's not like he's tried to end a players career. Saying he should never play international football again is ridiculous.

Well said!

Comparing him to Mike Tyson who bite someones ear off is a little different as well, I would say.

It's only different because Suarez didn't get the chance to. He had a right old munch on Chiellini's shoulder, if he had a few more seconds rather than copping 1 in the face he could have took a chunk out of it.

No one should be defending the little cretin!

It was the third time he's done this.

Ban him from all football for 12 months then he'll re think his actions. He has a mental illness and needs help

Think that's a bit over the top.
