Luis Suarez Bites Chiellini

So is this not photoshopped? A bit different to the one on BBC wouldn't you say?

Does the Mark he left really matter Lofty, he bit him, end of story, he obviously had some sort of mark on his shoulder otherwise he wouldn't be desperate to show the ref and Uruguay players wouldn't be desperately trying to pull his sleeve up.

Who cares whether the excess of the wound was photoshopped or not - it was an utterly stupid maneuver in the first place.

Everything that's followed/following now in the media has blown this out of proportion and will continue to do so.

It's either a publicity stunt gone horribly wrong or Suarez being his petulant self. lol

Maybe it's his way of saying he wants a move to Real Madrid?

Lads, don't get me wrong he bite him, I just don't want to be called a liar on here and made to have said false accusations about photoshopping, clearly happens, especially in a country that can phone hack.

It is definitely Suarez being his petulant self and I wouldn't be surprised if Real Madrid pulled the plug on a move for Suarez now, especially now they have declared apparent interest in Falcao and Barcelona look to be going for Koke next.

I'm going to be controversial here, but for all the goals and decent games in this tournament this is the first memorable moment from it and that's the kind of thing that makes the world cup great. Of course, I'd prefer the tournament to be memorable for classic games in the latter stages or someone like Messi making it his own but this is better than nothing (South Africa was just a bore, the only thing people remember from it is the Vuvuzelas & Lampard's goal that wasn't given).

I needed a distraction after England and Italy's disastrous exits, that have really put a downer on the tournament.

Of course, if Suarez plays any further part in the world cup I will be livid. He needs an immediate ban for a very long time and some serious professional help.

So far youve missed Messi in the Maracana, individual brilliance in beating Iran, youve missed Tim Cahill's volley, youve missed the Dutch and Chileans silencing Spain, youve missed unfancied nations like Mexico and Costa Rica surpassing all expectations and turning in excellent performances, youve missed the wonderful atmospheres created within the stadiums particularly from those following south american teams, youve missed a goals to game average of around 3............

And yet your memorable moment, in your words "makes the world cup great" is a callous thug biting act.

What is the issue with you? genuinely what is your issue?

You come to expect this sort of thing from a Dog, not a fvcking Human.

Absolutely beyond words.

And then people say its the highlight of their tournament. It beggars belief.

Kitch is trolling at the minute for some reason ignore him. Either that or he's taken a massive whack to the head down the clock tower.

I just feel sorry for him and hope some people reach out to him. He may be battling depression and uses aggression as a coping mechanism perhaps, or perhaps limited social interaction has left him in the attention seeking state he is in now. Perhaps judging by previous hate filled posts, an anger issue is an underlying problem?

Whatever is going on behind the scenes, it cant be healthy to live with.

Depends on your view, possible to pass on fatal diseased by biting someone to potentially it's worse. I'll admit in this case Chiellni's shirt would of protected him but pretty sure Ivanovic was skin on skin.

Besides this is the 3RD time he's done it.

Yes fair enough it is possible, but I've known of fights where people have been bitten including one guy who had his tongue bitten half off and none of those victims were infected.

I'm not trying to defend him, but what Suarez did today is far less sickening than something like what Morgan did to Hume or Keane did to Alf Haland.

The bold part is the point and the italics is irrelevant. pretty much end of chat.

a dog would normally be put down after one dangerous bite.

lol Are you Graham off Jeremy Kyle?

What's going on behind the scenes with you then? You said this is 'a piss poor forum' the other night and yet here you are still posting away. You must be desperate for interaction or something. (maybe not, but I'm just making an outrageous assumption like you just did with Kitch)

That's a bit of a move with the general brush, don't you think?

If at all, Uruguay was known for decades for its tough-tackling, no-nonsense approach to defending, added with a little flair up front.

Suarez doesn't represent the whole country at all.

Not really. They've been thugs at this World Cup (allowed to get away with murder against England), cheats and thugs at the last (Suarez vs Ghana) and whilst you may wish you argue they are simply 'tough-tackling' I'd disagree and say brutish.

Hope Colombia dispatch them in the next round.

Nothing going on behind the scenes. I cant remember exactly what i responded to, but yes i did brand the forum piss poor the other day, because rather stupidly, id been riled by a post id read that was complete bunk and i responded.

Im not desperate for interaction, i come here for football chat. thats it.

My point still stands. If anyone thinks what Suarez did was as bad as what Morgan did to Hume they must be a bit of a wally. Nowhere near as dangerous. He basically tickled him in comparison.

And to carry on the "pull it out of your textbook, or ass, psychological assumptions", people must only be saying they think it is as dangerous because Suarez scored against us the other night.

Two wrongs dont make a right. There isnt much point in debating the relative nastyness of a bite. Its callous, ridiculous and the act of pondlife scum, which he is.

Certainly got a grip on him. Very similar to the Ivanovic bite, really went for it, except he had a hold of him with his hands aswell that time.

It's like it's instinct, makes you wonder how often he's practised.

True, don't know why I made a fuss really. Thought it was a bit of an overreaction but there is no place for biting as you said earlier.

Licking my lips at this. Weve been saying we need a striker with some experience and bite...Snap him up Nige.. he'll be cheap as chips

Serious overreaction here people, first thing to point out is that typically bans received for international games do not affect the domestic season, I guess FIFA probably have the power to make an exception, if it is treated the same as the Ivanovic bite, the fact he has bitten other players is irrelevant as it happened in a different competition means it is irrelevant when handing out a punishment.

As for the bite itself, I agree with Bonedog, in terms actual harm it is nothing compared to some of the tackles that go flying in on a regular basis, Shearer on Lennon is another, I would rather have someone bite my shoulder than kick me in the head or elbow me in the face or fly into me studs up, I would probably prefer it to being spat on.

We've sung the names of convicted criminals and wife beaters on our own terraces so let's just have a bit of context here.

Suarez should be banned for the rest of the World Cup simple, job done, pretty severe punishment if you ask me.

As for bringing up the Ghana incident again, would anyone seriously not love to see an England player do that? Have that desire and will to do anything for our country to sacrifice themselves to see us win? I would.
