sdb Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 Pretty sure we'll see him in a Uruguay shirt next week. This is FIFA we're talking about here. They'll duck the issue until Uruguay have been kicked out and then ban him for a couple of meaningless friendlies. The bloke is mental, by the way.

They'll duck the issue until Uruguay have been kicked out and then ban him for a couple of meaningless friendlies. The bloke is mental, by the way. Unfortunately I think you're right. It's time to stop dicking about and give him a proper banning. I'm talking 20 games. He's been warned time and time again. He plays for one of the biggest clubs in the World and for one of the better footballing nations. He's clearly a role model to millions of kids around the globe yet he continues to disgrace the game. It's about time he's taught a lesson. 5/6 months before he plays again if it were down to me.
Donut Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 Id would probably be best if Liverpool cashed in on him now if a bid came from Spain. Its clear, irrespective of talent, he is mentally ill. He would face an absolute onslaught from the terraces and opponents and the level of animosity would be unprecidented. 3 TIMES. At least a one year ban needs to come, if not more.
theessexfox Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 If he plays in the next game for Uruguay then something has to be done to challenge FIFA, can see it happening and it will be ludicrous.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 If he plays in the next game for Uruguay then something has to be done to challenge FIFA, can see it happening and it will be ludicrous. There is no chance he will play, the evidence is clear cut... I expect a big ban giving that he had twice before bit a player...

Depends on whether the main referees and/or the other ones have seen it themselves during the game.
Guest Col city fan Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 If FIFA choose to ignore this ridiculous little man and his behaviour then they lose any respect I had for them. Which was basically none anyway. FIFA are apparently big on making examples. Make one of this turd and kick him out of football.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 Depends on whether the main referees and/or the other ones have seen it themselves during the game. it is assault... not just a dirty challenge. He has genuinely went to cause another player harm. The evidence is clear and that rule I hope doesn't apply to incidents like this.
Finnaldo Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 I hope he gets the maximum 2 year ban. Although he's likely just to get a 10 match ban and some back pocket change fine to go along with it. Absolutely detest him. I don't care how good a footballer he is, because he's a horrible, cheating little cvnt in my opinion. If I had any power he'd be banned for life and I'd laugh at him when he rolls the water works. To injure a player in any other way than a tackle/goalie punch is assault and should be treated as such.
Grandad. Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 England's worst World Cup campaign since 1958 and the BBC focus on Luis Suarez, this country is incredible.
GingerrrFox Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 England's worst World Cup campaign since 1958 and the BBC focus on Luis Suarez, this country is incredible. Just imagine if the scummy **** was English.
Donut Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 England's worst World Cup campaign since 1958 and the BBC focus on Luis Suarez, this country is incredible. As a liverpool fan, is the general feeling up there that because he is a big talent, and scores a lot of goals, are people willing to gloss over the fact that he has huge problems? Perhaps is it a case of grudging respect that if he was an opposition player wouldnt be afforded to them? Or is he genuinely liked? Id find it very hard to like the guy if he wore a Leicester shirt, goals or not.
Manwell Pablo Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 England's worst World Cup campaign since 1958 and the BBC focus on Luis Suarez, this country is incredible. To be fair if you bite one person that's disgusting. You bite two people you need help. You bit three people you need banning. And I think there's been enough coverage over how shit we've been since we went out.
C-man Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 Anyone read that article about him headbutting a ref in Uruguay when he was 15? Was covered up (the ref's character completely tarnished) because he was such a talented player. Sums that country's football up really - full of animals.
BoneDog Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 What Suarez did was not as bad as some of the stuff we've seen from Chris Morgan, Keane, Bowyer, Thatcher and many more players in recent times. He was never going to hurt the guy as much as some of the other bad lads in the game have done to numerous players. It's outrageous, but I don't view it as vicious as many other offences.

Kitchandro Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 I'm going to be controversial here, but for all the goals and decent games in this tournament this is the first memorable moment from it and that's the kind of thing that makes the world cup great. Of course, I'd prefer the tournament to be memorable for classic games in the latter stages or someone like Messi making it his own but this is better than nothing (South Africa was just a bore, the only thing people remember from it is the Vuvuzelas & Lampard's goal that wasn't given). I needed a distraction after England and Italy's disastrous exits, that have really put a downer on the tournament. Of course, if Suarez plays any further part in the world cup I will be livid. He needs an immediate ban for a very long time and some serious professional help.

That's a bit of a move with the general brush, don't you think? If at all, Uruguay was known for decades for its tough-tackling, no-nonsense approach to defending, added with a little flair up front. Suarez doesn't represent the whole country at all.
BoneDog Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 I cannot believe your post. You dont bite someone. End of. Yes I know you don't, that's why I said it's outrageous. You might not be able to believe I posted it but I believe it's true. What he did was nowhere near as dangerous as some of the scummy assaults we've all seen.
Grandad. Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 So is this not photoshopped? A bit different to the one on BBC wouldn't you say?

What he did was nowhere near as dangerous as some of the scummy assaults we've all seen. Depends on your view, possible to pass on fatal diseased by biting someone to potentially it's worse. I'll admit in this case Chiellni's shirt would of protected him but pretty sure Ivanovic was skin on skin. Besides this is the 3RD time he's done it.
