I've seen both NYC games down at the big ballpark in the Bronx. Not ideal, but not bad, and I've had good times out. It's all very expansion-team-ish, but people are taking to this team, and Jason Kreis is a good steady hand to have at the helm when the sailing will get rough at times.

They're playing a lot of 4-4-2, but very narrow (partly because they don't have wingers, partly by design because Yankee Stadium can only fit a narrow field), but it's been pretty much a one-man job for Mix as the rest of the midfield is a bit week. Having Lampard will help, as Kreis wants Mix playing deep in the midfield.

They really missed Villa, Nemec, and Shelton last week. They had nothing doing offensively last week.

Didn't really know where to put this but apparently St Ledger is dating Taylor Swift...

I think St Legend dropped some bait and everyone took it! :D

Just purchased tickets for NYCFC v Toronto on Sept 16th, we'll bring some English atmosphere to it!

 

And now got NYRB (for life) v Chicago on Sept 11th too, BWP I'm coming for you.

Imagine if our owners gave song sheets out.

I've been to 3 NYC games and I've never seen one of those. I'm not sure if they just give them out in the "Third Rail" section or what, or who does those, or if I've even heard any of those songs sung. So I don't know who gets those or how prevalent they are around the stadium.

I would agree that they're awful, though, and I'd laugh at anyone that would try to give one to me.

One side note (and this certainly doesn't excuse anything), I'm guessing the reason why "crud" is written on those is because carrying anything with any sort of profanity on it would be treated on par with having a gun or possessing child pornography at notoriously heavy-handed, "family friendly" Yankee Stadium.

Philly Union should take some tips from them and not sing songs about wanting people to shoot their own heads off lol

Would also point out that a team that didn't exist until this season, it actually makes some sort of sense to have songsheets.

You don't need to shoot your own head off in Chester, Pennsylvania; with that town's homicide rate, if you just walk around that shithole for 15 minutes, chances are someone else will do it for you.

Not MLS, but anyway, absolute madness at the Seattle vs Portland US Open Cup 3rd round tie last night.

Clint Dempsey got a red card for taking the referee's notebook out of his pocket, flinging it to the ground, then picking it up and tearing it apart. lol

Seattle's 3 red cards plus injuries meant they finished the game with 7 players. Portland won, 3-1 after extra time.

Judging MLS by Toronto is a bit like saying the Prem is shit because QPR is such a joke. Millions thrown away for nary a playoff spot in 8 years. Great supporter amazingly enough..

Are you equating the LA galaxys with chelsea and man united? Probably not but i was just trying to say how its not great football to watch. Top teams or sad teams like TFC it doesnt matter.

To each their own.
