Pearson is really showing his ruthlessness now, loan out Wood to Wolves he could do well there this season

He should have let Nuge go if he was planning on bringing two strikers in. He talks about balance of the squad alot but we're short on wide men, yet have strikers in abundance should this go through.

Nugent goal's and assist's, wood = injury prone and lost his scoring touch! he is never going to get rid of nugent!

I personally think Campbell could turn out to be a steal at the price were paying for him, ok so weve had to pay slightly more in wages which isn't ideal but as people keep on mentioning we are in the big league now with the big boy's so if we want player's sought after by other club's got to be willing to move a little here and there. I have heard a lot from ex-professional's now supporting there club's saying how Campbell could be a good player for them. So I am happy that is look's like we are going to wrap this signing up to

Do you ever not moan? How about wait until the squad is complete before criticising the balance of the squad he's created.

But Campbell and Wood are not the same type of player. It seems obvious Campbell and Vardy would fight for the quick/pain in the ass striker role whilst Nuge and Ulloa would vie for the other slot dependant on opponent and set up etc. Not sure Wood comes in to it?

You seem very certain considering you seem to have missed this rather obvious point.

ulloa is nothing like nugent. in fact ulloa is much more like wood, with the added bonus he is decent in the air.

Did you purposely not read my post before responding to it? I said "Nuge and Ulloa would vie for the other slot dependant on opponent and set up etc", I didn't say they were similar. I said NP will pick one or other dependant on other factors - i.e because hey are different kinds of players which one he picks will alter our style for that game potentially,

Very happy about this news! Hopefully Campbell & Ulloa's transfers go ahead! Anyone else reckon the Delort link was to persuade Campbell to decide about his future quicker?

It's fair to say I'd be happy with our attacking situation when both deals are completed

I'd be happier with Delort really

Why, because he is a unknown from second division France!  More sexy signing? On what basis would you want a guy you have never ever seen play over a guy who came from the Man U academy and has PL experience and will cost the club less than a million pounds, serious why would you say that, please explain.

I'll trust Pearson's judgement but Delort's four years younger and seems to have more potential than somebody who's already played 96 matches in the premiership and only ever scored 13 goals yet apparently sees himself worthy of higher wages than what everybody else on the team is on and is giving multiple teams the runabout to sign him

And no, I've not seen Delort play beyond on YouTube which has a tendency to give you a warped view of a player's abilities, but nothing about Fraizer Campbell has ever blown me away when I've seen him in the championship or in the premiership

I think Campbell with the right service and confidence could get 10 goals next year... Which if he does 40k a week and cost us under a mill is a bargain!

Would hate to see Vardy dropped though! Vardy last season seriously impressed me and I think the hunger he will bring into next season will give him more in the engine than Campbell has to offer... (Hopefully)

But for under a mill he's worth it all day!

I didn't think Palace were really going in that big for a player like Caulker.  They are back in my relegation mix now, co favorites with Hull and QPR after the obvious choices Burnley and West Brom.

As for City, why not load up on some experience?  If the Prem is as tough as people say it it, we will need it.  I'm hoping we are targeting finishing around 12th!

Hull will do well next year and QPR should be safe

Harry seems to have done a decent job there and with Rio and Caulker as a cb pairing I can't see them being in trouble. It would be a disaster if they got relegated.

I think our target this year that has been set to the players to to Pearson is to stay up. Anything else is a bonus. The higher we finish next year the better of course but I think it's too hard to predict where we will finish as the current team and tactics have never been tested at this level.

Ulloa, Campbell, Vardy and Nugent is probably one of the best strike forces at the bottom half of the league though which is good news.

Would this be the "1 or 2" signings Pearson mentioned though? Or do you think we will get more? I think we will probably get "1 or 2" more... 1 defender, 1 midfielder and we are pretty much ready to go
