Ric Flair Posted 23 July 2014 Posted 23 July 2014 Medical at Palace today apparently. Although if the press is to be believed he's on about his 5th medical of the summer.
MikeyT Posted 23 July 2014 Posted 23 July 2014 Sky Sports sources understand that Cardiff City striker Fraizer Campbell is to have a medical at Crystal Palace today. Campbell is thought to have a relegation release clause of £1million and a deal is expected to be concluded in the next 24 hours.
VLC86 Posted 23 July 2014 Posted 23 July 2014 I have breaking news, he's having a medical at Palace today #ITK
Benji Posted 23 July 2014 Posted 23 July 2014 I look forward to the "Guess who just scored for Palace..." posts. Decent player with the right service but not too disappointed.
Happy Fox Posted 23 July 2014 Posted 23 July 2014 I look forward to the "Guess who just scored for Palace..." posts. Decent player with the right service but not too disappointed. We seem to have turned our attention to Deeney and Slim.
Brooksy Posted 23 July 2014 Posted 23 July 2014 Looks like Fourth Officials sources aren't as reliable as they used to be.
johnny the fox Posted 23 July 2014 Posted 23 July 2014 Well I for one am happy we ain't got to pay his medical bills..
surrifox Posted 23 July 2014 Author Posted 23 July 2014 don't think it's hard to work out whom Nige was referring to when he talked about wage demands being a problem with certain players
ian_marshall Posted 23 July 2014 Posted 23 July 2014 Interesting - BBC have just updated their site in the last 30 minutes to say that us and Palace have had bids accepted and it is now up to the player to decide where he wants to go. The BBC don't tend to jump on stories too quickly and tend to be quite accurate in their reporting so maybe this isn't over just yet.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 23 July 2014 Posted 23 July 2014 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28438566
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 23 July 2014 Posted 23 July 2014 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28438566 Both clubs had bids accepted that covered his release clause. He then moves onto talks with the clubs and it sounds like he's going to Palace for whatever reason. The fact he's having a medical there is pretty conclusive to me?
Bert Posted 23 July 2014 Posted 23 July 2014 I think it's fair to say that our player's player of the season was better than 90% of the others in the division. It's an assumption but I don't think it's an unfair one. It could just be a flash in the pan as you say but I don't think so. It seems to me that he's become a better footballer rather than just thriving on a style of play or confidence. Aspects of his game are better than they were before so I can't see why he'd go backwards any time soon. Yep. Last season. What about the season before? If you're basing an argument of players having played many championship games you can't just factor in last season.
Harry - LCFC Posted 23 July 2014 Posted 23 July 2014 Yep. Last season. What about the season before? If you're basing an argument of players having played many championship games you can't just factor in last season. Maybe I'm being slow but I'm not quite sure what you mean. I'm not basing an argument on number of Championship games - Grewks was - I said I don't think that's the way to do it. I'm ignoring the seasons before because I don't think they're that relevant. Is Vardy really going to perform close to the level he did five years ago? It's only the last three that are helpful IMO and even then it's unlikely he'll go back to what he was before 2013.
paddy Agyemang Posted 23 July 2014 Posted 23 July 2014 I reckon he has an attitude anyway!! Not that boffered about this he scored about 7 last year
Eastwellfox Posted 23 July 2014 Posted 23 July 2014 Cant wait for this bloke to go to palace just to close this thread. Much better fish in the sea. !!
clintchristopher Posted 23 July 2014 Posted 23 July 2014 Not bothered at all about him signing for Palace. He is a diva, and we are team that is strong because the players all buy in to the system.
Jace Posted 23 July 2014 Posted 23 July 2014 So relieved SSN just confirmed we've been beaten by Palace and has had his medical. Only player Pearson has gone after that I've had a very bad feeling about, rather have Deeney here any day
foxes_rule1978 Posted 23 July 2014 Posted 23 July 2014 I doubt he would have started many for us, probably why he choose Palace really. Pearson thought that for 900,000 he would have been a good player to have should anything happen to our strikers
Rushden fox Posted 23 July 2014 Posted 23 July 2014 So relieved SSN just confirmed we've been beaten by Palace and has had his medical. Only player Pearson has gone after that I've had a very bad feeling about, rather have Deeney here any day Agreed but he would have been good value
Jace Posted 23 July 2014 Posted 23 July 2014 Agreed but he would have been good value He would have been but I would rather pay £7 million and have a striker who wants to be here rather than a 800k striker who couldn't care if we are relegated or not players like that are poison as we have seen before
Dr The Singh Posted 23 July 2014 Posted 23 July 2014 I doubt he would have started many for us, probably why he choose Palace really. Pearson thought that for 900,000 he would have been a good player to have should anything happen to our strikersHe chose palace cus they are a better club and will offer more money, let's be honest now
purpleronnie Posted 23 July 2014 Posted 23 July 2014 Yep as soon as palace were interested it was always the more likely option, a London club, easily avoided relegation last season, and more dosh.
