We won't get involved in a bidding war for players on either transfer fees or wages with other clubs. Nigel has said plenty of times he wants players here who buy into the squad ethos and want to play for Leicester City not those who will go to the highest bidder.

First time in a long time but I've got some legitimate up to date news on this transfer. Not sure I'm at liberty to share the info.

It looks as though this is getting somewhere close to reaching a conclusion, firstly Watford have gone awfully quiet regarding bids, unlike when it seems they realeased them straight to the Watford Observer as soon as they had been rejected.Secondly Deeney wasnt in their squad for last nights friendly and the club has refused to say why. And finally it looks like from SSN (link below) that they have already lined up a free replacement from one of their other clubs to hopefully apease the fans. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12691/9394114/transfer-news-odion-ighalo-in-talks-over-move-to-watford.

Whether he will end up at Leicester remains to be seen, but unlike the Ulloa negotiations where we were the only ones in for him, if Watford valuation is not already above what we are prepared to pay I expect the club to move prretty quickly to get their man and not risk losing out to another club who has expressed an interest in him

We've offered Watford a years supply of Walkers crisps, a £250 King Power coupon, 7 packs of digestive biscuits (mcvities),3 pairs of football boots worn by Danny Drinkwater last season and Jamie Vardys' skidded undies. They're weighing up the offer as we speak.

lol You had me until Vardy's skidded undies were mentioned, Pearson would be bonkers to let them go

Latest bit of humour from the Watford forum "You may see some teams hoofing their way to the Premier League but Watford will never be one of them" how very true is that!

I get why they had negative views of our football after the play offs but surely it dawned on them we don't normally play hoof ball after we absolutely assassinated them (and the rest of the league) at their digs.

For god's sake. We don't have negative views of your football. We greatly admire Pearson. We think you fully deserved to run away with the league last year. Our forum is basically a perpetual piss-take, and if you keep reacting, sarky posts will continue.

Seems to me like there are a load of idiots and people try and disguise that by trying to make everything into a wind up.
