Troy Deeney

The Watford supporters are saying that we will be part exchanging Vardy plus cash for Deeney.

I hope this isn't accurate as imo Vardy will be able to cut it in the Prem. we must keep him at City.

Can't see Nigel parting with him.

Very average striker at best. No thanks. End of

Scored more fookin goals, than Ulloa, Vardy & Nugent last season.

At 26 and one the back of two great goal scoring seasons Deeney is in his prime. On that basis a fee in the region of our original bid (£7.5million) isn't a wholly outrageous sum. I think Deeney could be a really good player for us so I'd rather just stump up the money and get him in sooner rather than later. Agree with those saying Vardy, Nugent, Ulloa and Deeney would be quite a force.

"the fee being just over 9 million with some additional payment if QPR make Europe in the next 3"

What moron would accept an add on like that. lol

Someone on a Watford Forum saying he's coming to us - for £4m + Vardy + King !!

I think it would be fair to say that Big Nige had lost the plot if we went for that.

Vardy alone must have a very similar value to Deeney and we're in a cash rich position. We've got no need to be swapping players.

Love the bloke saying "I hope not, why would be want their unwanted tat".

No your right why would you want to players who played an instrumental part of getting us promoted. ****ing idiots.

Watford hearing some ones had a bid accepted ? Everton ,qpr or us I like this comment?

Even Deeney going to Leicester is going to hurt, they'll say we got promoted and then took your best player. Various mockings of 'Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeney' etc etc will be so hard to take and I don't care what anyone says it will damage the legacy of that moment. So in that case I would rather he goes to QPR our rivalry with them is a bit fake and for me I don't hate them as much as I hate Leicester. Neither team would be better though obviously.

Comedy gold, that forum.... " I'm hearing it's King + Vardy + £4 million for Deeney " - I'll have some of what he's smoking.

Our rivalry is with Burnley lads, sorry.

Maybe + wood, but + King as well? I wouldn't want to swap any of our players, we've got the money, give it them and let them p1ss it up the wall, why give them a leg up with players much better than they have besides Deeney? Let them try to attract players of that stature for themselves and rely on their sister team for imports. It's all just written on a forum, if all the crap that was written on here was true we'd be a very different football club.

Jamie Vardy was the best player in the Championship last year, bar none. I include our Danny Drinkwater (as good as he was) and the free scoring Ross McCormack in that.

So you're not a little biased, then?

As much as I love Vardy and value what he gives to the team I wouldn't say he's better than all the strikers who scored a bucket more than him and all the people who made the championship team of the year which, of course, Vardy didn't...
