Cat Burger Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 He played attacking mid for Schalke and would give us that extra dimension. I've got a fantasy of an away 4-4-1-1 with him playing behind Ulloa, nicking a 1-0 against United at Old Trafford.
Rusko187 Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 Not sure on this guy, don't want to be blinded by the name but I genuinely think he hasn't done a great deal in the Prem. I know we aren't in a position to be choosey, it's just I seriously think this guy would not improve. Would like to be proven wrong though.
Asherz Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 Loan for a season see how he beds in then a cheeky offer to spurs
thybluefox Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 I said at the start of the summer Spurs wouldn't be keeping him and he'd be a good signing, and I still stand by that! IMO it'd be like the Huddlestone transfer to Hull - a player that's struggled to break the first team but excels in a settled positive squad.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 He's the sort of player Pearson would like here, I suspect. Young, and very determined to prove himself.
tomtom Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 Eyefootball linking us to a loan deal for him. Whooops, made out it was new... Soz
Dan Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 Would be delighted if we signed him, would mean he fits the squad ethic and there is absolutely no doubting there's a class player in there somewhere.
Bluearmy 316 Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 Please please please get this deal done quality signing
kingfox Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 This thread still up and running for no reason whatsoever
crisp packet Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 Perhaps has legs http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/491450/Leicester-to-sign-Tottenham-playmaker-Lewis-Holtby-on-loan
LeicesterBran Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 Oh yes please ! I'd happily take him at Leicester, with his footballing abillity and if we signed him it would be an absolutely fantastic big name signing.
Ric Flair Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 I thought he looked Fulham's best player in the games I saw of their towards the end of the season, not saying a lot granted considering how crap they were but he's got talent in abundance. He's right up my street, I'm a quarter German myself.
VLC86 Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 This would be a cracking signing. Harsh criticism of him playing for Fulham, they we're doomed before he even got there.
VLC86 Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 Ummmmm, still not sure about these sources. This isn't a cooking thread.
Langston Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 This would be a terrific signing, clearly a talented player that needs a stable environment, constant upheaval at both Fulham and Spurs has doubtless affected how he's gone about settling in over here. Would give us another option on the wing as well as centrally (in an attacking sense). I'd be genuinely excited about us as an attacking prospect if we pulled off both this and the Slimani business. This thread still up and running for no reason whatsoever Because we've been linked and he hasn't moved elsewhere, are people not allowed to discuss what he could potentially bring to us as a side, regardless of what your opinion is on the credibility of the source? There'd be no Transfer Talk section if we couldn't discuss paper talk / online links.
dpjfox Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 if we do get him on loan i hope its with a view to be permenant
BlueTillIDie Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 Would be a fantastic addition but unfortunately it is probably billy bull
Stevosevic Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 Such a shit source it's barely worth having a thread for.
Unabomber Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 Such a shit source it's barely worth having a thread for. Seeya in a few hours for your next moan about the source mate.
