Croydon (which is basically where palace is) is pretty awful though so if he wants to live locally then maybe Leicester would be better. If he wants to live in a city with world class entertainment, shopping, nightlife and transport connections then maybe he'll just live up the road from Croydon in the big smoke and bear the commute in.
