MK Dons v Leicester City

Is Kennedy our player now or still on loan?

He's ours.

Onto the goal. I still think Nugent's was better but what a great strike from Pearson that was.

Hamer was awful.

Back four all played well, impressed with Pearson and Kennedy playing against League One players and looking comfortable.

Mahrez has got so much class, he's obviously still got bits and pieces to brush up on but some of his touches are sublime.

Both Nuge and Wood worked very hard too.

Pearson's goal was magnificent. Right behind it, was in from the moment he hit it.

Decent workout against a team that kept the ball well. Hamer needs to improve. Don't care if it's pre-season, he won't get many opportunities to impress and he needs defenders to have confidence in him.

Very harsh on Hamer he wasn't awful at all. He dropped the ball from a corner only mistake I can recall? He needs confidence.

Shoddy camera work. It's a great goal, no doubt about that, but I think Nugent's is technically the best one.

Decent run out tonight. Everyone looked pretty sharp and we played fairly well. MK Dons were good themselves and a good test for us. Other than pressure before the second goal and towards the end did we ever really look like conceding.

Couple of spots:

- Hamer's positioning was terrible and he flapped a lot. Doesn't look convincing at all in goal.

- Kennedy and big Wes were solid. Expected from Wes, but I was quite delighted by Kennedy's performance. Definitely one to watch.

- But for Pearson Jr.'s goal he was good all round, just out of position a few times.

- Kingy was everywhere and had a real influence on the game. Was spraying balls about and was unlucky not to unlock their defence a few times.

- Albrighton's crosses are so dangerous. He'll get a lot of assists (hopefully to Ulloa's head :) ) this season. Even with his left. Best crosser I've seen at the club in... as long as I can remember.

- Nuge's movement was great, down the channels, coming short, over the top... He looks confident and hungry.

- Wood actually won a fair bit in the air, and played well in general with some decent runs in behind and lay offs.

- All the young lads played well. I guess that doing so well in the U21 league last year has bred a lot of confidence.

Looking forward to the season now.

He was either nowhere for or dropped at least three crosses. One in the first half, two in the second. There was one in particular where he was under no pressure, there was no wind and no rain. It's just sloppy.

He certainly does need confidence.

I hope he comes good, this is just how I saw it tonight.

I'm all for backing players and giving them time. It's different with outfield players though as they will have more rotation and more places to play for. If this is the standard Hamer has shown us in pre-season and Schmeichel gets injured ten games in then I think people will have a right to be concerned.

James Pearson and his goal . Totally against the run of play at the time as well. Good counter-attack from us to be fair.

And if you were there, Nugent right at the end 'Oooh fooook off!'

Thought Kennedy, McCourt and Pearson all played their part in a decent win. Was quite impressed with Kennedy who reads the game very well. I'm sure he would have learnt a hell of a lot being next to Morgan today. Impressed with McCourt too when he came on, bags of composure.

Good to see youngsters making these friendlies. A little insight in to the future cos if these guys stick around I reckon they can go far. Possibly follow in Liam Moore's footsteps.

I need to see Pearson's goal again. It was so good. We can have our own goal-of-pre-season competition at this rate lol.

Apart from the little knock downs with his head, though Wood was woeful. Looked like he didn't want to be there at all. Offside too often. Can't run at players (even 3rd division defenders) Only real chance he had scuffed it. Poor poor performance.

Hamer looked very dodgy but I think he'll be ok as back up.

Kennedy was very impressive and Pearson was decent appart from his wonder strike.

Marez had some great touches and Nugent looks very sharp - a good work out in a very impressive stadium ( whether you like them or not)

Wood did look disinterested. Stark contrast to Nugent who looks ready and raring to go. Thought Wood could have done a lot better and shown some more effort. Just wasn't coming down for him but then he didn't put that much effort in. Nugent on the other hand made stuff work for him and searched for the ball and just looked hungrier.

Not too confident at the moment in Hamer. Flappy at set-pieces. Think there were 2-3 occasions where he came and didn't connect with the ball. Against better opposition I'm sure we would have been punished.

Down to personal preference but I prefer Nuge's strike, skill to get that much bend off the outside of the boot, take nothing away from Pearson though, struck it beaut

Me too. Great hit either way.

Looks to me like Wood has already accepted he will either hardly feature, or go somewhere else for loan or perm. I'm not sure what is wrong with him, but it isn't encouraging.

I think that loan to Wolves would be a pretty good move.

he was awful he looks shoddy with the ball at his feet and he also came for 2 crosses and missed them both so he certainly needs to get better but its early yet and I still think he was the best keeper I saw at the KP last year

Does Wood ever celebrate goals? Seems like the whole team rushed to congratulate Pearson and he just walked off, not even a fist pump. Clearly unhappy
