Tommy G Posted 20 August 2014 Posted 20 August 2014 Having medical as we speak His 142nd medical in this thread alone, must be a club record. how can we trust you anymore than the other ''ITKs''
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 20 August 2014 Posted 20 August 2014 Bored of this now. Just want it done either way.
Callabinho Posted 20 August 2014 Posted 20 August 2014 Is Alverez really coming as part if the deal? I can remember him being decent back in the day.
Stadt Posted 20 August 2014 Posted 20 August 2014 He's telling us to sign Alvarez on massive wages and he'll turn out to be shit and then he won't even sign because he actually hates Leicester City because he watched that game where Dennis Wise punched Callum Davidson and ever suncce he's wanted us to spiral out of existence. He hates Thai children too, if one comes near him he just spits on them whilst simultaneously showing them the bottom of his feet and shouting stuff about disrespect in broken English. His hatred of Thai children stems from his experience with Aliexpress and he incorrectly assumed that all Thai children make knock off kits, he ordered 2000 "Cambiasso 19" shirts but the stitching was terrible so he opened a dispute with them but they weren't having any of it. Apparently this nasty streak comes from his father that was one of the nazis that fled to Argentina after the war.
Simmsy Posted 20 August 2014 Posted 20 August 2014 This thread's only been going a couple of weeks. Some transfers take much longer than that. It sounds like either we'll get him and everyone will be happy or he'll go to a top Spanish club and then we'll have to hold our hands up and say that's an understandable decision. It still would have been worth the try though and it sounds like we will have been close to getting him. Why anyone reads much into newspaper reports, let alone random foreign sites, blogs or anonymous Twitter accounts, is beyond me. Surely you can see now that they offer nothing of any worth where transfers are concerned. The only thing that causes a positive effect on the club is the confirmation from the club that he has signed. As much as it's interesting to hear about stuff from within the club, it's clearly not helping if what Pearson says is anything to go by. And this "I'm bored now, move on" stuff is just plain weird. We could be on the verge of a complicated agreement to bring in a quality player. Why would we stop that now to begin all over again with someone else? Just wait and see. It won't kill you. Amen to that. What I really don't get is people saying 'I just want it done either way'. That to me implies they'd rather have confirmation the deal is dead today than wait another week for the signature of a player the management and vast majority of fans really want!

berniethebolt Posted 20 August 2014 Posted 20 August 2014 Is Alverez really coming as part if the deal? I can remember him being decent back in the day. It's been done before. Wasn't Ally Mauchlen part of the Gary Macallister deal to help him settle in? They both did more than a job for us!
sylofox Posted 20 August 2014 Posted 20 August 2014 I thought transfer forum rule was don't talk shite yet we have 120 pages of it in this thread. Wish the mods would clear it.

Spiritwalker Posted 20 August 2014 Posted 20 August 2014 Yes but the other way round I thought. It was.
berniethebolt Posted 20 August 2014 Posted 20 August 2014 Yes but the other way round I thought. Yes, you're right. It goes to prove though that if we end up going down this path then there is nothing to say it will not work out.
Beliall Posted 20 August 2014 Posted 20 August 2014 awaiting delivery of the LCFC "cambiasso 19 " Eggcups, then we're good

That to me implies they'd rather have confirmation the deal is dead today than wait another week for the signature of a player the management and vast majority of fans really want! What I don't want to happen is us to expect this to go through, then it collapses and we are left struggling to find someone to fill the gap. I'm sure we are looking at alternatives, but until this deal is done or dead we are just waiting (proactively hopefully) for something to happen. Don't get me wrong i would love to see cambiasso here.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 20 August 2014 Posted 20 August 2014 Are these the same players in the 60's that had an ashtray on top of their towel in the changing rooms? Players nowadays are far fitter, the pace and intensity of the game is not the same as the 60's. Did you watch them in the sixties? I doubt it. I did, so I can compare them.
trueblueju Posted 20 August 2014 Posted 20 August 2014 Cambiasso signing to be confirmed at tomorrows press conference. Terms agreed with the player and medical taking place in London as I type. He won't play at Chelsea though as he needs to get match fitness. Heared it from a friend of a friend.

Harry - LCFC Posted 20 August 2014 Posted 20 August 2014 Did you watch them in the sixties? I doubt it. I did, so I can compare them. There's stacks of evidence to show that athletes are fitter now. One example would be the improvement in times, distances jumped, distances thrown in athletics. Every event now has a better time/distance than it did fifty years ago. Rugby players weigh much more than they did before - there are more injuries because players are able to hit harder. Same with American Football. I don't happen to have one specific to football but it's hardly going to be the case that every sport moved forward in terms of fitness while football didn't. I know it's not very scientific but you only have to look at the players to see they're in better shape than those before them. Ex-pros say how much stricter the fitness and dieting regime is now - how are players going to be in poorer shape when more is done in this area?
Marky mark Posted 20 August 2014 Posted 20 August 2014 Does anyone know how manny medicals he's had this week .......
