Finnegan Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 I hope at some point in European football, purely for MattP, Celtic have played Young Boys.
C-man Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 yeah like i said i didn't see it but it seems like a lot are putting two and two together and drawing their own conclusions etc. does seem a bit dodgy just looking at the incident as an outsider but as you say their "bananas" have a history and the like so there might be nothing in it at all. we'll see what uefa do, sure their fans will be in trouble either way. Yep, agreed they're fvcked.
MC Prussian Posted 27 February 2015 Author Posted 27 February 2015 Big well done to Everton...They look like they're at least giving it a go.....Perhaps YBB aren't a powerhouse in Europe, but 7-2 on agg is decent at this stage against anybody! Think Spurs had both eyes on the Chelsea game and as for the 'Mighty Reds' !! You could still argue that two Everton goals at Bern were offside - given correctly, the game could've gone a different way. Bern have beaten other English teams in the past or at least taken points off them. But I do agree the Toffees have a good squad at the moment and it feels as if they've found out of their slumping form. Young Boys are turning into a tidy little outfit and currently challenging Basel for the title (alongside FC Zurich) - they even beat the Swiss FCB 4-2 last weekend.

MC Prussian Posted 27 February 2015 Author Posted 27 February 2015 Round of 16: Everton FC - Dynamo Kiev Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk - Ajax Amsterdam Zenit St. Petersburg - Torino FC VfL Wolfsburg - FC Internazionale Villarreal CF - Sevilla CF SSC Napoli - Dynamo Moscow Club Brugge KV - Besiktas JK ACF Fiorentina - AS Roma Decent chance for Everton to progress to the next round.
ScouseFox Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 wolfsburg vs inter the only interesting tie there for me really. villarreal/sevilla & fiorentina/roma could've been boss if they'd swapped them round
Tevez Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 Roma vs Fiorentina is a great tie. Looking forward to that.

It always makes me chuckle when EPL teams go crashing out of Europa league suddenly it's because they were more concerned about an up and coming domestic cup/league game.
Soar Fox Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 Russian and Ukrainian teams were kept apart.
Nalis Posted 12 March 2015 Posted 12 March 2015 Half decent game on ITV4. When I say half decent, I mean open.
StanSP Posted 12 March 2015 Posted 12 March 2015 Vieirinha's having a great game for Wolfsburg. De Bruyne has scored 2 but overall not actually had that good a game.
ScouseFox Posted 12 March 2015 Posted 12 March 2015 this inter keeper is a joker isn't he also bas dost is just a better looking foreign harry kane. ie he has no talent or skill whatsoever.
Stadt Posted 12 March 2015 Posted 12 March 2015 this inter keeper is a joker isn't he also bas dost is just a better looking foreign harry kane. ie he has no talent or skill whatsoever. Quite tall though
RowlattsFox Posted 12 March 2015 Posted 12 March 2015 Everton fans aren't helping here, moaning about every pass and then moaning when they boot it up front.
AKCJ Posted 12 March 2015 Posted 12 March 2015 1-1 now, Everton have started to play. Dragovic and Yarmolenko are two players i'd like to see play in England. Naismith is such a weird player. Never really seems to play well in terms of build up play but scores a fair share of important goals.
Corky Posted 12 March 2015 Posted 12 March 2015 Everton fans aren't helping here, moaning about every pass and then moaning when they boot it up front. It's incredible, as soon as the players look backwards the fans are on their case, some strong booing and jeering in that half. Goodison must be great when you are doing well but a nightmare when struggling, appears to be no middle ground.
