Grandad. Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 6 goals v San Marino at home and Estonia away is pretty poor I think.
Dan Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 To be honest from now they're effectively friendlies. There is absolutely no way we aren't qualifying out of this group.

Yeah that is never in question, the fact we have scored 6 goals in 180 minutes against two of the poorest teams in Europe for me is a bit of an issue.

Lofty they aren't even the second lowest seeded team in our group never mind one of the poorest teams in Europe. Estonia away is not a turn up and win tie, as the Slovenians who are supposed to be nailed on for third will tell you, they're all professional players who can make life difficult on their own patch, I should imagine we'll hammer them at Wembley. San Marino we looked like we weren't trying.
ScouseFox Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 yeah estonia are pretty bad but they're not one of the worst teams in europe. in the last 3 or 4 years they've drawn with holland, ireland, serbia, and beaten uruguay, slovenia and poland. all respectable teams and results. they're not a one goal every 10 years 0 wins since 1994 kinda team. they're just not very good, and we beat them.

They are still one of the poorest teams in Europe, they drew with Gibralter this year for crying out loud. Granted they have beaten Slovenia in our group but they have won 3 games in 2014, one v Gibralter, one v Tajikstan and finally against Slovenia. They are pretty shit, let's be right here Manwell.
Alexikokopops Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 I genuinely don't even see the issue. If he didn't feel he could give a full 90 because he was tired then good on him for saying it. I'd rather have players feeling fully fit and able to give their all. That was my thinking. I'm surprised it's blown up so much!
Danno Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 Love seeing all the rage over Sterling. 'Soldiers don't say they're tired'

They aren't world beaters no but as I've said they aren't a turn up at their place and roll them over without thinking about it side, depends how far you want to be inclusive when saying "worst teams in Europe, but as there in the 4th pot I think you'd be pretty hard pushed to call them that (19 teams seeded below them) below average maybe. Had we not won they'd not be the first 4th pot team we've failed to beat away from home. We controlled the game and got the win we were pretty wastful at times but the job got done.
Bert Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 Someones created a "TiredSterling" Twitter account

Danno Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 Already has 30k+ followers. Reckon trying to kind of mirror the boring Milner account. So many terrible twitter accounts like that. Same with evilkagawa or whatever it was. Unfunny freaks.
Corky Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 Some tweeted earlier (can't find it now) that "He's a millionaire, he shouldn't be tired!"

Trav Le Bleu Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 I rang into work this morning and told them I was tired and feeling a bit jaded. They weren't having it.
Corky Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 King playing for Wales again, hope his display is more lively than the other night.
