NewburyFox Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Obviously a lot can change over the next two and a half weeks, but based on the squad we have right now where do you think we will finish? I think we currently have just about enough to stay up, but would like a couple more signings, particularly a LB and central midfielder.
David McAuliffe Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 The higher the better, but,as long as the players give their all, show real passion, thats all you can ask. Hope our stay in the top flight is a long and happy one.
kingfox Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Right now - Relegation With 3-4 new signings - 12th/13th
kyleolly Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Burnley, Qpr, palace, Swansea, villa, hull, wba and Southampton will finish below us so 12th!
Fosse93 Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 I've gone for 10th, nothing wrong with a little optimism.
Poznan34 Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Putting 1st on there is like when Leicesterpool used to put Sven in every manager poll!
bluesbrothers Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 On the basis I made in another thread of there being at least 7 teams with worse problems than ourselves, I don't see why we can't finish 13th.
Bamba's Babes Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Right now - Relegation With 3-4 new signings - 12th/13th Nonsense. 14th.
lestajigs Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Nonsense. 14th. He's right, have we added anything to the. Squad yet to better it??? We need a good 2-3 solid prem players!! Then were talking about avoiding relegation, but at the minute 19th
CosbehFox Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 15th with a couple of eye catching performances which mean lead games on MOTD.
kingfox Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Nonsense. 14th. We will see, but with the small squad we have and the lack of depth, I'm not that confident at the minute. Maybe having to rely on the likes of Wasilewski, Konchesky, Hammond doesn't strike me with confidence, if we improve in the three positions those respective players play, then I'd be confident we can easily finish 12th, 13th, 14th.
NewburyFox Posted 14 August 2014 Author Posted 14 August 2014 Putting 1st on there is like when Leicesterpool used to put Sven in every manager poll! Haha I deliberated on whether to bother with the top 4 places but I thought why not, just hope people take the poll seriously
MC Prussian Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 10th would be an absolute achievement, head says anything but one of the three relegation spots. Given our squad and knowing that a few so-called established Premier League sides are likely to struggle a lot this season, I'll settle for 12th.
Lasty Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 I think a lot of our squad are ready for the step up. I also believe that the jump in standard is overestimated, especially when it comes to the bottom half teams. No reason why we can't finish above a good handful of teams.
lgfualol Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Reckon we have enough for 17-19th placed finish. Defence will let us down if it is not strengthened - if we get a new solid LB and CB then I can see us being 14-16th place.
Legend_in_blue Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 15th. Palace, West Brom, Burnley and QPR to finish below us. Do one better than Southampton, Villa, Swansea or Dull = good season.
Bostonfox Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 A little worried about the make up of our squad! It looks like Saturday will be much the same team that won the championship! Now! Imagine we had drawn Everton in the cup last season! How many of you would fancy we could turn them over???I feel Pearson is misguided in thinking that sticking with the same personal that did so well season can produce in the prem! If we fail to add prem quality players in the next 2 weeks I think we are bang in trouble!!! I went to stoke away in the Cup and they dominated us and made us look like a lg below team! Fear is most of the teams this season will do the same!!!
Fox42 Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 We will see, but with the small squad we have and the lack of depth, I'm not that confident at the minute. Maybe having to rely on the likes of Wasilewski, Konchesky, Hammond doesn't strike me with confidence, if we improve in the three positions those respective players play, then I'd be confident we can easily finish 12th, 13th, 14th. This. For now, I'm going with 19th.
dakin_fox Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Gone with 14th, although I think we could end up anywhere between 18-12
Spiritwalker Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Like most posters on here I still think we are about 3 or 4 players light. That said, if we were to go with the squad we have now I still think at least 3 teams would finish below us.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 The higher the better, but,as long as the players give their all, show real passion, thats all you can ask. Hope our stay in the top flight is a long and happy one. This exactly
fox123 Posted 15 August 2014 Posted 15 August 2014 I'm actually thinking the early group of hard games will go in our favour. Get them out the way, we're going to have to face them sooner or later and whilst squads/formations are still bedding in, I'd rather early doors. I'm going for 16th
