lcfcdave15 Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Great performance from Kingy today, according to BBC sport he was the most accurate player on the pitch with 96% completion of his 46 passes.
Dan Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Excellent. Didn't look one bit out of place. I'd start him at Chelsea based on that showing.
Elsie Ephsey Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Brilliant. Have long held a theory that he's better in better company (team mates and opposition), he's a very intelligent and hard working footballer. Early days as far as the Prem goes, but a very encouraging start.
ousefox Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Absolutely brilliant performance. Everywhere. As someone mentioned about that Moore did on Lukaku was insane too
Richard Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 First half I believe he had a 100% pass success rate
Max Power Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Yeah a pleasant surprise, I was worried when James was out but he stepped up brilliantly. His best games for ages. Funny thing about going up, some players who perhaps weren't excellent at the lower level step up and some who tore it up can struggle.
Ozwin Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 He is our Lallana. Been with us through everything, absolute diamond and you forget he is still relatively young!
Dr The Singh Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 I must have saw something totally different, he was mediocre at best
Karljohn Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Superb today, I said in the transfer forum when linked with Watford that I thought he would be better suited to top flight football. He had a good pre season and a great game today.
StanSP Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Sensational. Completed 96% of his 45 passes. Put tackles in left, right and centre. Bossed their midfield at times and grabs an assist for Wood's goal. Love this man. Keep it up, Kingy!
Manny2802 Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 was gutted when Drinkwater went off thought we were gonna get murdered in midfield, but I gotta say King was awesome best ive seen him play in a long time
SemperEadem Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 As Bert said he really stood up and was counted when Drinkwater came off.
dayday Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Strangely I have always thought the prem would suit Kingy more than the rigours of the championship
Narborough_fox Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Absolutely outstanding from Andrew today. On the ball he was very good but, more importantly, whenever I saw him without the ball he was organising the midfield and getting the defence out. Just what you need when James and Drinkwater weren't there.
Fatbloke Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 I must have saw something totally different, he was mediocre at best Pity you could`nt make it to the game Dr, was a shame to miss it !!!
dmayne7 Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 I must have saw something totally different, he was mediocre at best Just like your grammar. I'm guessing you must have seen something totally different.
Guest ttfn Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Some people have asked if this is the best game he's ever had for us. This might be in the top 5, but I don't think he'll ever top his 1 man show in the away leg of the Play Off Semi at Watford.

Yeah he was sensational today but I don't remember a single man performance as good as Watford away in my lifetime.
Corky Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 He was immense today, was linking nicely with Drinkwater but when he went off King took control and took responsiblity, organising and cajoling, setting an example with his play as well. Needs to keep this standard up.
stink1884 Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Thought he was standout player of the day. Reading through the sun dreamteam ratings I couldn't believe my eyes. The poor reporter watched a different game to us all by the sounds of it. He got a 4. So biase towards the 'bigger teams' especially in comparison to the Everton ratings, Back to the topic. Andy king today was immense!
