What do we need?

We need cover for right and left back 2 x central midfielders to cope with Injury's 1 x pacey winger and 1 x striker at most I'd dabble in the loan market for a central defender but what a game wes and Moore had

We need to be careful not to upset the balance too much by bringing in too many players. 2 maximum 3 is all we need. Cambiasso, a striker (maybe Slimani or Deeney) and a versatile defender. We can't make to many judgements off one game but Hammond and King did alot better than I thought they would considering the class of players they were up against. It seems other clubs have struggled to get in their transfer targets like we have so we will have to see what Nige and the guys come up with. I don't want us to panic buy though which im sure Nige won't, but if none of our targets are available, I think we will pick up a decent amount of points with what we have. A draw with Everton with no James, Albrighton, Upson, vardy and Drinky (for most of the game) shows that some of our back up players can make a difference this season!

I'd say we need another player for RB and LB,, if we could get one player who can play both positions well it would better, Kyle Naughton maybe? 

Then we'd need another CM, as I don't think 4 will be enough, especially with injuries. So hopefully we will get Cambiasso signed for that need.

Also I think we will need one more winger, right footed would be better. Schlupp might be able to play there quite well though.

 

Possibly another striker, but not the most important position to fill, as we have Ulloa, Vardy, Nugent and Wood who I think could all be good enough for us this season. Some more cover at CB could be useful as well, maybe get someone in on loan for that though.

We are desperately short in depth and while we showed alot of positives today our depth needs to be addressed asap! I think we had 17 fit and that was before Drinky got injured so 16 now, that has to be sorted.. NP knows this though and i'm sure in the next couple of weeks we will see at least 3 new players come in

Don't need a centre back we are solid there with Waz as cover...RB cover maybe, def CM with attacking qualities and a striker to replace Nugent. So, Danny Rose, cambiasso and Deeney. then a bit more squad depth with the likes of Miquel, Slimani and Leroy Fer. Job done and piss off 'arry at the same time...oh and Zaha now that Van Gaal doesn't rate him

Versatile defenders are pretty rare, but luckily, I think we already have one. When we signed De Laet, he claimed he can play anywhere in defence, and I think he did play for Norwich at CB in the PL. I think Wolves once tried to sign him as a LB, as well. Signing one RB should complete the defence.

We're clearly after a CM and a striker. I think getting these 3 would complete the squad.

yes that's exactly what I'm saying you have different times to register other players if need be as the season goes on our squad is one of the smallest in the prem and we will struggle if we do not get atleast 7 players in

I agree..I think we need 2 CM players Cambiasso and maybe Andros Townsend if we could get him from Spurs..a Striker at first was against Deeney coming especially for that price but I think if he comes he will have a point to prove..and 2 loanees versatile players that can cover places at the back. Its important we hold the ball a lot more in the Prem. For me Vardy will help us a lot also he will make it tough for defences to start from behind.

Went to the game and just watched the whole game again on Sky - thought Konchesky's defending and distribution was excellent.

As good as he is at defending we really need an attacking left back who can push on.

Thought he was more impressive going forward than De Laet yesterday and that's supposed to be De Laet's strength. Still think in this league we will need to be able to defend well, we have enough attacking options on the field without relying on our full backs and on yesterday's showing thought Konch made a very good contribution. I do appreciate in the modern game full backs need to be able to get up and down the line, but we are going to face teams more often that won't allow our full backs to do that that easily, like Everton yesterday.

Konch was ok yesterday, but lets be honest he got an easy ride as Everton only seemed to want to go down their left side with Baines and Pienaar. I've said it times, defending wise I don't mind the bloke, it's just his distribution that lets him down, which wasn't awful yesterday.

For me Schlupp is not a LB.He showed pace just after he came on to create a good chance,a pity he lacked the composure to score.
