If true, do you reckon this deal has been accelerated by RDL's poor performance on Saturday? Absolutely not.But I think Pearson has realised he needs specialist players for certain positions. Playing Moore or Was Is ok for 25 minutes in a game should RDL get injured, but not if they were to have to play there for a run of games if you get that?

Carlos88LCFC Posted 18 August 2014 Posted 18 August 2014 I don't think people should be writing de laet off. Did he have a bad game? Yes he did, well a bad first half anyway. But I think any RB in the premiership would have struggled with the pressure down the right. When you have a LB/LW and CAM all pushing down your side your going to find it hard to cope regardless. Should he be replaced? Not at all. I still stick to the same thing I said before the season. He has all the attributes to be one of the best right backs in the premiership this season. Do we need cover? Of course. We are light at the back and as someone said above, wood or was would be ok for 20 mins of an game covering but I think if de laet had a few weeks out it would cost us.
