Gold Members not receiving their "benefits"

Recommended Posts

Posted

There were thousands of Gold Memberships up for sale at the start of the season, and I am one of the "lucky" people to have bought one for £75.

The list of benefits we were meant to receive were:

Exclusive digital content - not received (I assumed foxesplayer)

Limited edition Gold Pin - not received

Membership card - not received

The only thing I have received is the priority tickets - which seems that I didn't really need as tickets still went on general sale.

After calling the Sales line, they were not able to help me at all! The salesman simple said, "I don't know anything about it".

Has anyone else received info?

I want to know when we will get everything, as it seems like I have spent £75 for nothing!

I brought the family one and still have not heard anything. I asked them on Sunday when I popped down and they advised me to ring back in the week. Place is a shambles

Sorry Steve, yeah I can imagine that if gold members haven't received anything no member at all will have! It's ridiculous!

You were slightly foolish for buying into this ridiculous "Members" scheme in the first place if you ask me. Total rip off, taking advantage of a high ticket demands to new levels. £75 is just not on.

Weren't they more like £5 a few years ago? Crazy prices.

It was a tenner I think.

£75 is obscene, by the time you've bought one £28 match ticket you may as well of gone the whole hog and bought a ST. You've probably payed a quarter of the price for one game.

I would have bought a season ticket but I was unable to get time off work to spend a whole weekday queuing around the stadium! After numerous calls and queues online, I failed to get anywhere.

I can't stand this 'entitlement culture attitude' of you so called 'members.'

We're waiting for what we paid for - that's all!

I've emailed [email protected] to make a complaint as the sales offices again offered me no help!

Other people should do the same - make them take action!!! At the very least an email should be sent out with the status!

I know it is steep and probably a complete rip off, especially seeing as the Everton game went to general sale, but it is not just guaranteeing seats, but guaranteeing half decent seats if you are a gold member. Amongst other benefits. In the end it is all money going to the club we love, the main reason I got them was because I am always at home for Christmas and I traditionally go to the home boxing day game with my Dad. Didn't think there would be a chance of getting tickets this year without membership.

Yeah, of course that is the primary reason. But when you pay an inflated price, you expect a decent level of service. At the end of the day, they're a business. Regardless of my love for the club, the administration side is shockingly S**T.

Everton didn't go on general sale though....

Yes, tickets did go on general sale. 200+

But a business without competitors therefore they don't feel the need to focus on customer satisfaction. Harsh reality is if you decide to vote with your feet there is a constant stream of new customers being born

It was £20 last season. I mainly bought it for away priority given that I can only make it to one home game before Christmas lol

This all has a familiar ring of dissatisfaction to it over such club issues for us! :-)

I live in the south west and so I thought it as a far more sensible option to just go for Silver membership this season, which is still more than I have had re my affiliation over the past four or so years because of where I live and such like nowadays - being as I can't get to more than five/six home games in a season on average terms, due to obvious time constraints and  travel / match day expense of course.

I personally think that the season ticket represents the best value for money on average pricing terms considering we're now in the Prem. (and the average pricing for it isn't far off from some League Two clubs' season long charges - and indeed I think I heard somewhere that Bristol Rovers were charging £300 for theirs in certain quarters there and they are now Blue Square Prem. and play at a rugby club!). Anyway despite the club 'bigging up' the virtues of Gold membership over Silver, my purchase now looks to have been a sensible option, without my wanting to sound smug.....as from reading stuff on here then the Gold membership hardly seems like much of a glorified version of a Silver one and I suspect that the championing of Gold membership on the whole through the club's advertising channels was the club's way of simply rallying the troops and kidding people into thinking Gold was far more beneficial to supporters than Silver for an extra £35 a season, this despite tickets still having been on general sale in the end for something as monumental as the curtain raiser Everton game at the weekend.....as some on here have now noted! Yes, the club does benefit from this but why spend more as Tescos and so on say, all for no real gain! Maybe when or if the crunch games come later on in the season (not necessarily the games against the top four teams), then hopefully both aspects of each membership scheme will come more into it's own then as I don't consider things like stingy discount from the club shop on already highly overpriced merchandise as beneficial in anyway at all really as you're best off waiting for the sales to roll around in that regard! Up The Foxes!

I bought a Gold membership because I'm an idiot with a large amount of disposable income. And because Alexikokopops bought one.

And like everyone else I haven't received anything for it apart from being able to buy tickets for Man United (PAP).

It's basically a game of chicken with non season ticket holders. I felt a bit of a rebel risking city member level but some crafty buggers will be even braver than I and getting tickets on general.

Put simply it's a bit of a scam and I was only prepared to pay the minimum I think I needed to be confident of getting a ticket for any game. Got a united ticket in the cheapest area with little difficulty so I'm happy with my choice.

75 pounds, even 40 is pushing it, is scandalous for simply granting the right to buy match tickets. Let's face it, the other 'benefits' are so ambiguous that that's basically all you are paying for.

For that amount I think one match ticket should have been included. It would still represent a big profit for the club and reward those making an up front commitment.

Haaaahaha, that's the only home ticket I've bought with it too lol

Thats a tad harsh.

If you PAY for a season ticket, surely you'd expect a season ticket to arrive?

If you pay for a blue home shirt online, surely you expect a blue home shirt to arrive?

Its not an entitlement culture.... they only want what they have paid for, which is different to an entitlement, surely?
