Carl the Llama Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 No thanks, I had to endure the frustration of watching GTF for 14 minutes Saturday and don't fancy a possible 90 of it against rubbish opposition where he supposed to look a class above. So it's better to not use a backup player at all, than to play them against a team 3 leagues below us in the cup, saving the fitness of a more key player for an important upcoming match...?
Narborough_fox Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 I still remember Wesolowski's leg break against Celtic. Absolutely horrendous.Â
TonyN11 Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Shrewsbury at city in a cup game was probably the greatest game I ever watched. Â Wow! yes I remember this one. I recall we ended up using 3 goalkeepers during that match. 5-2 final score and it was on match of the day with the Chelsea-Spurs quarter final.
CPW22 Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 One should get loyalty points for attending these games might boost the attendance. Good idea. Didn't we use to get one cup game include with the season ticket?

Very glad you are not attending, saves someone, maybe even me ending up sitting next to a negative moaning bar steward like you !
C-man Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 One should get loyalty points for attending these games might boost the attendance. Absolutely agree. It's baffling to me that attending a game at Chelsea gets you loyalty points but one, where your money actually goes to our club, against Shrewsbury doesn't.
Ric Flair Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Hamer  Schlupp Wasyl Kennedy Pearson  Knockaert Watson King Albrighton  Wood GTF
buzzy Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Very glad you are not attending, saves someone, maybe even me ending up sitting next to a negative moaning bar steward like you ! well said imblue does not have a clue and one supporter we do not need
lcfcsnow Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 If Cain doesn't get a game tonight he never will.  One things for sure I'm not paying £15 to watch his sons attempt to play right back.
DennisNedry Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Hamer  Schlupp Wasyl Kennedy Pearson  Knockaert Watson King Albrighton  Wood GTF  This but I'd rest King, put Cain in instead
ImBlue Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 well said imblue does not have a clue and one supporter we do not need Give it a rest. I don't want to pay money to watch sub standard, overweight players like GTF. The thread is asking if I'm going, and I answer it and say why. You'll see the attendance tonight and realise maybe there are more people who share my opinion. Have a nice night, clown.

It's baffling to me that attending a game at Chelsea gets you loyalty points but one, where your money actually goes to our club, against Shrewsbury doesn't. To get the Chelsea one, you initially have had to hold a season ticket for 2 seasons. I don't agree going to a pointless fixture full of reserves at £5 should get you priority for anything.

No. The attendance tonight will be reflective of the fact Shrewsbury are a lower league club in the first/second round of a competition where historically there have been limited crowds nationwide. Not because GTF is playing.  [/ignore]

I don't agree going to a pointless fixture full of reserves at £5 should get you priority for anything.  Except it should because for me it shows more loyalty than being able to show up for one of the most attractive games in the past decade.  Whether you give them 1/2/3 loyalty points for attending, it's not going to usurp the season ticket holders' priority but in a limited away end could be the priority difference between someone who goes to every game they can and those who only bother with the big four aways.  Supporters pay to watch their club, not the opposition.  [/nowignore]

Have a nice night, clown.  I assume your another one of these bandwagon 'fans' that only go Leicester when were looking good then? Relegation to League One season was possibly the worst Leicester City side I'll ever see and I can tell you now, they're were far worse players than Gary Taylor-Fletcher.
FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Beardo  Pearson Was Hopper Schlupp  Knocky McCourt Cain Albrighton  GTF  Wood
BigWesMorgan Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Beardo  Pearson Was Hopper Schlupp  Knocky McCourt Cain Albrighton  GTF  Wood  Tom Hopper at Centre-Back could be interesting...
Corky Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Hamer  Schlupp Wasyl Kennedy Pearson  Knockaert Watson King Albrighton  Wood GTF  That team looks pretty strong all things considered, though can we risk King?  Should have enough to get through, can't be doing with an early cup exit. Fully confident our fringe players will be a serious imporvement on the Burton game a couple of years ago. Last season's run was great, full of goals and late excitement.

Stadt Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Hamer Schlupp Davis Wasyl Pearson Albrighton Cain Barmby(is that where he plays?) Knocky Wood GTF
Manwell Pablo Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 May give it a go but will probably be a Tuesday morning decision. Â I can't make my mind up. Â It's the rigmarole of getting home that is bothering me more than anything, that and the abuse from the gf.
Jmw44 Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 im undecided on this still I know it won't be anything special tonight but I always love a evening game. not as good sitting opposite empty stands and what not but will be worth it when we're walking out at Wembley next march! but then it'll be the most expensive reserve game ever.
daddylonglegs Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 not going to pretend like I know the U21 side so I would just want a team which gave Vardy a run out for 20 or so minutes and gave Wasil, Hamer and co some game time.
ollielcfc Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 I enjoy going to the U21 games, so got a ticket for this in the hope to see at least a few youth players (Cain,Pearson and Hopper mainly)  Only £5 as well, so not shabby pricing
