Dan Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 We'll do our usual in this kind of fixture, very dodgy first half but win it in the second. 3-0 Leicester.
ADK Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 To be honest £15 for this is an absolute joke but maybe it shrewsbury who asked for that.
Asha Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 It's £10 in some areas though, mine's definitely just the tenner.
Harry - LCFC Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 It's £10-15 isn't it? So you can pay less and go in the corner (I assume it's 10 there) if you want to. I'm content with those prices. Always go to these games. Just can't get enough football having been without it for so long.
Unabomber Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Do season ticket holders have to pay? I don't want to rock up with me card and get denied.

Raw Dykes Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 I think this game is more important than it looks on paper. Could conceivably go five or six league games as we have done, playing well but not winning; it'd be good for the whole club to pick up a win in that run, even if it is Shrewsbury. Rotate the squad, but don't play a development side. Absolutely. This is a nice chance to experience winning during this tough start in the league. Sure, we should rest players who need it. There are first teamers who need to play to get match fit. We should pick all of them, and maybe just a couple of the best U21s. Have the big guns on the bench to try and save us if it goes wrong.
Webbo Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 I shall be in attendance for this. Curious to see who we play in midfield, can't really risk any first teamers at the minute but if Drinkwater or James are fit ,20 minutes at the end might be good for them.
MHC Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Aren't James, Vardy and Drinky meant to be back for arsenal?? Maybe Kingy will make way?? And we probably won't need Wood off the bench if we have Nuge, Ulloa and Vardy also available. As for knocky and Schlupp, I think we'll start with Albrighton and Mahrez against Arsenal, so I don't think playing in this match will do them any harm. But, hey, that's just my opinion, I'm sure there are many others about. The only way Andy King will not play against Arsenal is if he gets injured before the match, even if Drinkwater and James are fit he'll still play, Hammond probably will too.
Dr The Singh Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 I really hope we can win this game, it's going to be our toughest test

Fair enough mate, I wasn't saying he should be dropped, he has been excellent this season thus far, I was saying it could be a possibility, that's all.
Livid Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 May give it a go but will probably be a Tuesday morning decision.

Absolutely, I was sat right in line with it and it was a ridiculously aggressive challenge for any game let alone a friendly. Everyone around us went mad as I recall. It's a shame for JW, I'm not sure he'd have made the grade in terms of being a top championship player but his injuries definitely halted his progress massively. He had terrible luck during his time with us but always played with 100% commitment whenever he was picked.
Brainy Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 This. A team capable of winning the game 2 or 3-0. Gives most first-teamers a rest too. A rest?
Devonfox1884 Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 A rest? I probably could've worded that better... I meant it means we don't have to risk them needlessly.
davieG Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Leicester boss Nigel Pearson could give son James a Foxes debut when they host Shrewsbury in the Capital One Cup. The right-back is expected to be in the squad at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday with fellow prospects Jak McCourt and Michael Cain also tipped to be included. Pearson is without Danny Drinkwater (hamstring), Matty James (shin) and Jamie Vardy (thigh) for the visit of his former side but Dean Hammond should recover from cramp to make the squad after being forced off in Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Chelsea. Ben Hamer and Chris Wood could also start with Pearson aiming to keep his squad fresh for Sunday's Barclay's Premier League visit of Arsenal. Pearson is eyeing three new players before the end of the transfer window as the Foxes close in on Esteban Cambiasso. Manager Pearson confirmed talks have progressed with the former Inter Milan midfielder, who is available on a free transfer. The ex-Argentina international could be in before Leicester host Arsenal on Sunday ahead of Monday's transfer deadline. He is available after leaving Inter following 10 years at the San Siro and Pearson remains upbeat over the deal. Pearson said: "Cambiasso is still a possibility. There's been progress over the weekend so I'm more hopeful than I was on Friday and Saturday but until there is a definitive answer I'm loath to talk too much. But I am hopeful it can be done in next couple of days. "We've been trying to do business and it has not materialised so far. But hopefully this week we can still do business and bring players in we want to bring in." Shrewsbury are without the suspended Liam Lawrence after the skipper was sent off in their 1-1 draw with Northampton in Sky Bet League Two on Saturday. Striker James Collins is pushing to start after scoring at Sixfields but Ashley Vincent is out for up to two months with a hamstring injury. Town manager Micky Mellon is unbeaten since he took over, winning three and drawing two of his five games, and is not expected to make wholesale changes.
ImBlue Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 No thanks, I had to endure the frustration of watching GTF for 14 minutes Saturday and don't fancy a possible 90 of it against rubbish opposition where he supposed to look a class above.
davieG Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 One should get loyalty points for attending these games might boost the attendance.
