Pearson was 100% right

Because of lee hoos, whose general cuntishness set us back 5 years, and sean Dyche being a pointless shameful excuse for a person who showed no humility last season and instead constantly whined about having less money (despite our squad costing the same).

If those two were to **** off into the circles of hell where they belong, I'd have no problem

id ask you to give full examples of bith lee hoos and sean d being so called knobs but i just cant be bothered

It's widely known that hoos was responsible for getting rid of nige in 2010, and dyche acted like a whiny bitch after we won there in March. The full details are well within living memory

What did he say exactly?

Pearson: "We looked as we had another gear but couldn't find it today. No disrespect to them but we are better than Burnley on every level."

Posted

Dyche plays the media game very well, whether it's exaggerated or not he's made the world think that Burnley are true outsiders so he'll have little pressure from his fans, the board or the outside world and the press.

Pearson is in a slightly different situation, it's well documented and commented that we've spent big money (in the past certainly, not so recently barring Ulloa, although that was helped by the extra revenue we've received). There is pressure on Pearson, he's always going to be talked about as a possibility to be sacked during a bad run, though the owners have kept him for three years.

It was a surprise to hear him say what he did as I've never heard it before, he's usually calm, considered, respectful. Maybe the comments from Dyche last season got under his skin, maybe he was angry at the late goal? I don't want our managers, whoever they are, to comment on or belittle other clubs, so I hope (and believe) this is a one-off.

why the hate to burnley?

they are doing what all clubs outside the prem dream off.

if they spent millions we'd laugh at them aka qpr

they are in the prem and as we saw today competing against us.

lets not talk like we are a fooking established premier team

Probably this weekends best post from all threads post game.

Also something the players havent yet understood.

They still have to prove to the club and fans, that they deserve their places to play in the PL.

Something else for them to chew on, City havent yet played one good game. They have had some great moments in the 7 games, but I doubt whether they have had a stable 30 minutes in any single games.

Various fans and managers saying stupid things, like 'they never looked like scoring, until we conceded 2/3 silly goals.'

FFS Thats all that counts..... goals. Not whether we should of done this or that, and ifs and buts, and only my team scores

good goals. Our fans and players still have to earn respect, and to understand that the PL has itself earned its right to demand

a continuous high level of performances.

I think Pearson's let himself down with those comments to be honest.

Completely surrendered the moral high ground to graveller.

Agree with that, disappointing from Pearson when and it might have gone down better if he had said we weren't good enough today.

Makes me wonder if something happened before the interview or he wasn't happy with the celebrations. Lets just make sure we don't go down with them.

Is it just me that thinks this is Pearson's way of biting back about the pound note comments?

This is the first time he's ever said anything like this, he's normally very well reserved when it comes comments like these.

Dyche is obviously a complete twat but it was a stupid thing to say and could come back to bite us on the arse later. From time to time I think he needs to engage his brain before commenting.

The money thing has been done to death.  Leicester had just announced the write-off of £120m debt and trading losses of £35 in one year.  Dyche took that to mean, rightly or wrongly, that Leicester had spent a lot of money.

I think perhaps the cost of transfers as a yardstick of the cost of the team is overstated.  For example, QPR signed Rio Ferdinand on a free transfer, while Burnley paid £30,000 for Michael Duff.  But I wouldn't agree with any suggestion that Ferdinand is the cheaper player.  Apart from the element of prudent writing off of player values before the FFP rules came into place, most of Leicester's losses were because they were paying high wages; and I suspect when the 2013-14 accounts come out, they were still paying high wages.  Time will tell.

FWIW, I don't agree with Mr. Pearson that Leicester are a better club in all respects.

anyone who spends 3 million on george boyd clearly has money to burn. tbh he'd have been better off burning it.

I don't think many really do, this has only come about in the last six months, Leicester and Burnley had no issues beforehand. The only thing we were annoyed about by you was that Burnley at home meant crap performance and 0-1 defeat.

No disrespect but we are a larger club and our ambitions were to get in to the premier league asap. Of course we were always going to spend money trying and over recent years we have been very careful.

Fairplay to you lot today but having watched the game and seen how badly we played it makes you guys a certainty for relegation in my eyes. You should have won today and if you can't beat us at our worst then what chance do you have of beating the bigger sides.

Ultimately fairplay to Pearson for giving Dyche a bit of spice in the media. Dyche likes to be the underdog so good on Pearson for aggreeing with him and telling him he's right about his Championship level side.

nige was right like i cant think of any aspect of our club that is bettered by burnley?

owners? no. ground? no. players? no. manager? no. transfers? no. recent results? no. etc

"For sure we were much the better side, we couldn't make our dominance count", sorry Nige but you're talking out of your anus.

What chance have we of beating the bigger teams?  Well, with today's side, virtually none.  While both our centre forwards are out, and while all our centre midfielders are out so we have to play a full back and a winger in there, then we're going to struggle like we did today.  Hopefully all but Vokes and possibly Trippier will be back in a fortnight and we'll be competitive again.

Larger club?  You've got five times the catchment area and an owner with lots of pound notes, I'll give you that.  But never won the league.

We have a Leeds fan keeps coming on our board bragging about what a big club Leeds are.  Down that road lies humiliation and mockery.  Don't go there.

He doesn't need to get involved though. He's pissed off with the result and the performance and was lashing out, but why today? He's sat through crap games before and never belittled another team's ability. Not style, or roughness tactics, but ability.

Burnley are a pretty inoffensive club to be honest, the manager has had digs at us but Pearson left them alone last season. He should leave the bitchiness and mind games shit to other managers. Very un-Pearson like interview.

Spot on, and isn't that just what Dyche did after our home defeat last year? That was unforgivable, apparently.

To be fair all he's done is agree with Dyche in very basic terms. He likes to shout about how little his players cost compared to others. If all our players are worth more then theirs they must be better all round?
