Signs of getting old....

When you listen to politicians and see that's it's the same old bollocks and promises that have been made for decades and you realise it's just platitudes aimed at getting them elected.

Less and less people come to say hello in there.the only time all you and all your mates meet up is at a funeral

It was the Scottish Referendum campaigns that did it for me, such horseshit from both sides.

Sad really that the public are left to vote for who they don't trust the least as opposed to voting for the candidate that actually represents their views.

when you get on your high horse about tiny things,

i started a new thread and didnt search, operation deal with it.is it a massive deal? does it affect your life in anyway? is it cruelty to animals?

dont sweat the small stuff, live and let live.

You need to let this go!

I think some people on here underestimate my capability of looking at things and arguing from a relaxed and sensitive point of view.

I'm not in for the chase - I'm simply pointing at the fact that there is a search function and people who have posting on here for years still don't know how to use it, then proceed to contribute to an already existing thread themselves, before opening a new one on the very same topic. Forgive me for my shortcomings, but that is a behaviour I simply don't understand.

That is all.

P.S.: I still love you all and I hope you also have your arms wide open for a occasionally picky soul like me. Thank you. :D

You know you're getting old when you see a mother and daughter together and the "Would I do her" question is focused on the elder of the 2.

lol lol

Funniest post in ages..

I tried to thread a needle for the first time in ages the other morning.

Took me 15 bastarding minutes.

I realised then that the Reaper was at my shoulder

That, and the necessity of getting a pair of 'readers' from the Pound Shop....

That's not a getting older thing, I'd always have went for the mum.

I don't take offence to what gets said on here, I just like to back myself up.I presumed there wouldn't be a jfk thread that's all.soon as I was pointed ever so kindly by Davie g I think,I started to use previous threads.

But in using the search button for other threads I did get a message saying this thread is more than 120 days old are you sure you don't want to start a new thread.so is that the rules then 120 days?

Ps die hard 5 a good day to die hard.

When you fall asleep in the bath.

When you have to plan the best method of getting out of the bath.

I'm still young enough to refuse to get one of those grippy plastic bath mats, though. >_<

When you're in looking in the window of Fenwicks and thinking that those zip up tartan slippers would be really comfortable.

When you can't understand lyrics or constantly sing the wrong ones to songs your kids like (guilty)

And enjoying the fact that you're winding them up.

Ranting a lot mainly about politics. I was tempted to go off on one here but I deleted it.

Agreeing with Fred Leicester's column in the Mercury every Saturday, I'm not alone!

Checking my pension and trying to work out if and when i'll actually be able to pack it all in and sod off down the allotment. Ranting at the prats in the City when they go into panic mode and the FTSE dives (taking the value of my pension with it) because someone sneezed in Taiwan or god knows where.

I've got an allotment. :)

Whilst my musical tastes are still varied, I like all kinds of stuff, commercial DJ's do my head in.... from their inane wittering about lives no one really gives a feck about to the Social Innit Meja Down wiv da Kids on KISS FM. Shut up and just play the music. I refuse to listen to Radio 2 as every message/caller seems to be based in Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire/Berkshire/Hampshire/Wiltshire basically anywhere darn sarf.

Hip and Trendy Adverts, I'm looking at you here Samsung, not only do you load your phone with Apps of no use to anyone under 25 (Yes i've installed a bloody micro SD card but it's full of great music i've downloaded off Deezer, I have 40 odd years of classics in my back catalogue, get rid of the bloatware off your damn phones, If I want it, I will download it) but your latest advert where unless i'm under 30 or some peroxide blonde kilt wearing scotsman with swagger I'm not your target customer. Pricks.... I'm going back to HTC!

Concerts and Camera Phones at concerts...put the f'in things away. £50 to be stuck behind some twentysomething trying to record it all on their phone. No one will lie on their death bed and reminising on life and think back to that dodgy 2 minute video they uploaded to Youtube!! No Thanks!!

My memory is going, i'll be lucky if I will be able to lie on my death bed and remember anything.

Attending more funerals than weddings.

Appreciating time spent with my mum, she's 81 and fingers crossed she'll be around for a few years yet.

Back pain from doing absolutely nothing!

I have more, I'll be back if I remember.
