FA Cup 2014 / 2015

We have a better chance than usual, but we've got an awful lot of work to do. For me our best chance was in 2001, home quarter-final whilst sixth in the league against a Division Two team, it couldn't have been set up more to get into a semi-final then who knows?

Just get through tomorrow, see the draw then evaluate our chances.

Best chance was 1997, when in the 5th round a dodgy penalty in a replay v Chelsea stopped us going into a quarter final line up with Chesterfield, Wrexham, Portsmouth, Sheff Wed, Wimbledon, Derby and Boro.

palace have won 3 times at home all year and jake humphrey just congratulated their marvellous fans on making selhurst such a fortress. don't know if i hate palace or bt sport more. both maybe.

Jake Humphrey was reading out the results after the Liverpool vs Spurs game in midweek and he said something along the lines of "First half goals from Koscielny and Walcott made it a comfortable night for Arsenal against Leicester".

He's a bellend, even if he was fed the wrong information.

Edgy haha, he is being real and not jumping on the bandwagon, nothing wrong with that.

Not been a twat for a while mate.

He was disagreeing with one person. Hardly a bandwagon, more a unicycle.

No point arguing. I think we have a great chance but you are basically arguing over what a "great chance" is. Perhaps "genuine chance" would be a better way to describe it.

There isn't a team left in the draw I don't feel we could hope to beat.

Just to put things into perspective the bookies think we are about 10 times more likely to stay up than win the FA Cup.

That just means that's where people have been putting their money on, not that the bookies themselves think that we are more likely to stay up than we are to win the cup.

Just saw the Yak's goal, oh man what I would do see him play for us again he was a great finisher no denying that!

I saw it too but I thought "man, he's fat".

If you go by bookies we have a 2.44% chance of lifting the cup.

While we are given a 29.4% chance of avoiding the drop.

Must have seen a different player to me then. He's looking in good nick and as strong as ever. Much thinner in the face compared to when he played for us as well.

This made me laugh when I read it earlier. From Steve McLaren

"I don't know how old he is now - I didn't really know his age when I signed him for Boro and he was telling me he was only 25 - but he'll always have that pace and ability to finish."

I've just heard three west ham fans died on the way home from the Hawthorns yesterday

RIP.

Thought it was on the way to the game in that crash with the coach on the M1. Either way very sad. RIP.

Today's predictions:

Aston Villa - Leicester

Bradford - Sunderland

Arsenal - Middlesbrough

One can dream... :fc:

I hope Bradford progress a stage further, after their heroics against Chelsea, they simply need to advance. Very likable outfit.

And I favour Middlesbrough because I'd like the amount of Premier League teams reduced should we be able to proceed.
