great in his first two, didn't go to palace but he was given motm on here, inexplicably dropped for burnley and under performed at newcastle. looked okay in his brief spell yesterday, obviously missed a sitter but the game was already gone. not sure how anyone can be too disappointed?

not sure what people were expecting? we've signed a 34 year old cambiasso, not a 28 year old cristiano ronaldo.

Think he should be in for Hammond but we definitely need James and Drinky in with him. We have to dominate the midfield.

When people post 'we didn't know what to expect' this was not reflected in the threads during the pre season. I urged caution. Yes, he is an older player and yes he was released by Inter.

I was just about mullered on here for trying to say 'wait.. lets see'. Exactly the same, really, as I've said 'wait and see' how QPR do, in relation to us.

Since that time, I've stated two main things in this respect:

1. QPR look a mess. Whether they continue to do so, remains to be seen

2. Cambiasso is still yet to convince me.

Sure, he's composed on the ball, he's an organiser and has a decent pass in him. But my main concern about our team currently is our midfield... we do not track the runs of oncoming attacking players well enough. And the times I've seen the opposition ghost past Cambiasso is worrying.

However, it's not only about him. The TEAM is simply not defending well enough as a unit at present.

So if people really were seeing Cambiasso as still being some world class DM, or Central midfielder, I'm yet to see it.

The 'spaffing' was a little premature.

IMO.

Col you got mullered on here for saying you would prefer Lee Cattermole.

Everything else came from that, albeit you were right to be cautious as with any new player.

Paid a huge part in six of the nine points we have so for me he has been a good signing.

He's played a vital part in our two wins so far, no worse than anybody else in the other games.

He's a class apart.

The passes he attempts are either splitting and pulling defences out of position or moving play quickly

The drawback is he doesn't have the legs to track runners or constantly press high up the pitch

He's an option. Not a necessity depending on the opposition or our tactics. All Id say is we look more dangerous with him on the pitch. Especially when Vardy is on to make the runs

Ulloa yesterday EC today are you going to go through the whole squad turn by turn and ask what people think of every player? bore off

His history speaks for itself so although he hasn't set the world on fire in a consistent manner, I still think he could be one of our best players this season. Some experience for the younger midfielders, more so than Hammond could give, was always needed in this division. Probably not many better examples than Cambiasso. And when you have your manager saying even he's learning from Cambiasso that speaks volumes.

He's been alright so far. Plenty more to give, especially when we get out of this little blip. Hopefully starting this Saturday.

I think he needs to get a regular run in the team. I honestly don't know what people expect of players, in general, who only feature occasionally. I have never seen a player who performs brilliantly, every time he's in the team, but who does feature regularly. Which to be fair is counter-intuitive - if you're brilliant, who would drop you? But the flipside is that sometimes you need to give a player some grace, especially new players who are used to a different style of football.

I like him. Not got the legs as you would expect, but he's so intelligent on the ball. Very rarely makes the wrong decision.

I think he's been let down by those around him at times.

The only problem I think is that we're at our best when we're playing at a high intensity - and unfortunately, he naturally struggles with that.

Disagree that he missed a sitter yesterday. The ball came to him very quickly close to goal he put his foot on it and it hit the inside ofnthe post it then spun up and their keeper made a great save and clawed it away. You can see he was class, he is still good but he is ageing now. At times he plays great balls but our players either can't read them or are good enough to anticipate them. He does tend to overhit free kicks and corners though but he should be starting if fit certainly before Hammond and James.

Still reserve my judgement wether he is a good signing or not, don't feel can judge a player from limited appearances same as Albrighton.

When he is on the ball you can see his class with vision and being able to read a game but as I suggested before he signed and got slatted for it he is obviously ageing and is not the player I'm guessing everyone thought he would be. He does look a little of the pace of the game and sometimes the physicality of the premier league sometimes gets the better something that doesn't happen in the Italian league so needs to work on them

Jeez when will supporters learn, it's not about individuals..our problems have appeared since the Man U game, and that's because The fit again James and Drinkwater + Cambiasso had resorted in Pearson overthinking and trying to play a side in which he thinks his is best ,but in truth is backfiring because it wasn't wrong in the first place.

Looked awful at the game but my Mum told me when I got back that it wasn't actually as bad as it looked at first. We'll see anyway when I get round to watching MOTD.

On the ball he's great and offers the left footed strength to complement the others. With runners around him I think he'll be fine, in a two I'm not so convinced, unless with a forward-type midfielder such as King so he can stay back and allow the other to get up the pitch.

If I was him I'd be a bit miffed that Hammond was starting ahead of me.

Mind you, if you're someone else in the squad who could play out wide and you see a striker play that role instead, you'd be equally as miffed.

Pearson needs to get this sorted out.
