john ridley Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 The title says it all really , that's what we are .They are various reasons why we didn't spend in the summer , the main one being a wage cap and maybe abit too much faith in last season's team which was understandable .But unless things change drastically we're going to struggle , I'm not in the change the manager camp ,just think things are going to be tough which is a shame after the positive start , I'm still looking forward to the season ahead just that maybe my expectation's changed abit .
Kitchandro Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 No. It's a basic fix, go back to playing our best players, in a system that suits them, in a positive manner, and we'll stay up. We're losing because we've started playing negatively, it's as simple as that.
Strokes Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 It was always going to be tough, im not sure what people expected. We are playing against sides with a proven track record in this league, they aren't going to be mugs. We are stuck between a rock and a hard place with team selection, he needs to shore up the back without nullifying our electrifying attack, find the solution to that and we are in business.
Harry - LCFC Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 I'm amazed by how badly some people have taken this. For sure, I expected there to be negativity but we have a number of people saying that we simply aren't good enough for the division. Way off in fact. This run, while poor, is a long way from being disastrous but that seems to be the way it's being viewed by some. If we only get a draw against West Brom I wouldn't be surprised if a good chunk of people were calling for Pearson to go.
Goddard Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 We are losing because other than the top 7 or 8, most teams lose more games than they win. Have faith!
Russell sprout Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 I think it's a massive learning curve for Pearson and his players,I don't think there not good enough entirely, but need to make the step up quickly,I think we was always gonna be in and around this position(16th) and to be honest ild snap your hand off if we there come end of May, I don't think we've not signed enough quality back up just because of the wage cap entirely, If the right player came along I'm sure Nigel wouldn't dismiss it straight away because he was on say 35k at his previous club, that we wouldn't try and negotiate a deal, I feel we're reading to much into recent results, And a win next week and we'll be talking about mid table finishes, Football fans are a very fickle bunch

gosfox Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 Reality check required.... I think most would be happy enough if we finish 4th from bottom in our first season back
Russell sprout Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 So are managers based on our astonishing change in philosophy. Maybe you can answer that
Stadt Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 We were clearly too good for the championship so I can't understand how you can say that, so far we seem to be good enough for the premiership but our recent form has been disappointing but hardly catastrophic, a lot of people seem to be forgetting that the sides around us are just as bad even if they're winning at the moment, they'll experience poor runs of form just like we are right now.

Yeah I agree, maybe there should be a league like in between called the champier league and it has teams like us in it. I reckon we would do quite well and might even be up with the big boys.
Manwell Pablo Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 at this It's just wakey wakey time for a lot of you lot, it's alright sat there laughing at all the "clueless pundits" who had us down to struggle and moaning that we aren't a five start team on FIFA, Ulloa should have 96 finishg and 98 heading and Vardy's pace should be at least 101, coming out with infuriatingly uninsightful comments like, "we should be beating teams like Crystal Palace" "We've got better players than Newcastle" blah blah blah blah zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Back in the real world, we've got an alright side for this division, but this was always going to be a struggle, anyone who couldn't see a defeat away at Swansea coming an absolute mile off needs their head checking. I watched the game more in hope than expectation, as their a very good side and both their goals were wonderfully well worked. we're still unbeaten at home, we've played a lot of good teams, and we've still got our heads above water with some important fixtures to come. We really aren't doing that badly. Anybody who didn't think this wasn't going to be a slog needs to get a bit of perspective.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 Fvck me it's like no side has ever had a bad performance.

Legend_in_blue Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 We need to pick off the teams around us. This starts on Saturday. Draws and/or losses against those amongst us will see us further dragged into the mire. I'm looking at the table from West Brom downwards as it stands. Anything off those teams above 13th when away from home will be a massive bonus. When we're at home I think we can be a good match for any team but that depends on how we set up. At the moment, it's all wrong. Change it quick Pearson.
Filbert_Ross Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 I really do hate FoxesTalk sometimes. Same. This main forum is probably the worst part of the whole site.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 If we struggle over the next four games, and come out with four points or less, then worrying will be more realistic.
Stadt Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 Same. This main forum is probably the worst part of the whole site.User feedback and support hands down, it's a morgue
Legend_in_blue Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 If we struggle over the next four games, and come out with four points or less, then worrying will be more realistic. We need 7. You'd take a loss, two wins and a draw. That'd put us on 16, with another 6 games to play to halfway. So four points from a further 6 games will take us to 20 out of the 40 req'd. Doable.
Filbert_Ross Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 User feedback and support hands down, it's a morgue Ha. Don't think I've ever taken a wrong turn and ended up in there.

Guest Bilo Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 The reason we're so disappointed by current form isn't because our players are no better than performances at present, quite the opposite. We've seen us muller Manchester United, match Everton and neutralise Arsenal as well as snatch a win at Stoke. We're not QPR, who've bought ageing mercenaries galore, or a Burnley side who consider Jutkiewicz and Sordell to be ambitious signings. We're better than current form and are therefore something more than a Championship side in the Prem.
ScouseFox Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 i like the space between premier and ship. pretty much the only positive part of this though.
