filbertway Posted 19 February 2015 Posted 19 February 2015 will have a listen to that later for sure. theme park were boss at leeds a few years ago, probably only about 200 people there but was sick for an early sunday boogie. Watched them play a short show in the alternative tent at night, think there was about 30 people watching that one haha. New album should hopefully mean they'll be back, probably be given a half decent slot on the Festival Republic.

StanSP Posted 28 February 2015 Author Posted 28 February 2015 8th June release. Ones And Zeros by Young Guns. Speaking In Tongues is one of the singles from it.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 5 March 2015 Posted 5 March 2015 The new Purity Ring has smashed anything I've heard this year out of the water completely.
MC Prussian Posted 5 March 2015 Posted 5 March 2015 The new Metronomy album's a bit of a letdown. Maybe I was simply expecting them to continue where they left off with "English Riviera".
MC Prussian Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 Oh, B.C. Camplight's first new album in seven (!) years completely passed me by, glad I've heard about it now. Here's a single for y'all - how perfect pop would sound like to me:
Samilktray Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 I think Kendrick Lamar just released the album of the year so far.
The Doctor Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 album of the year so far has to be Benjamin Clementine, although Guns new album out next week is crackling.
The Doctor Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 New teddybears song is a bit weird - seems like an attempt to combine indie and rave music...
Finnegan Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 Standard Teddybears. It's not "combining" anything, especially indie, it's just Teddybear sound. They've been doing it for years. One of the best bands on the planet. What's Your Problem is a good record. Need the inevitable Die Antwoord - Teddybears collab, though they're probably too hip for DA now Ninja and Yolandi have broken Hollywood!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 March 2015 Posted 17 March 2015 Twin Shadow's latest effort is absolutely outstanding. Really bloody great effort.
Mike Oxlong Posted 17 March 2015 Posted 17 March 2015 The new Metronomy album's a bit of a letdown. Maybe I was simply expecting them to continue where they left off with "English Riviera". Agreed, except it's been out for about a year now.
MC Prussian Posted 2 April 2015 Posted 2 April 2015 The Acorn are set to issue a new release, Vieux Loup, this month:
Guest Posted 28 April 2015 Posted 28 April 2015 Very much looking forward to the new Zac Brown album arriving
The Doctor Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Finally had a chance to sit down and listen to Blur - very good. Biters and Kagoules albums (July 10th, August 21st) also excellent - even if one of the Kagoule tracks does sound like the main riff has been pinched from Friends.
benpicko Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 Best year for hip hop that I can remember and we're not even half way through it Jamie XX's debut album is tremendous Is it out or did it leak? Love everything he's done (the drums on the intro to xx are perfection) and that Young Thug song is the best summer song so far
Samilktray Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 Best year for hip hop that I can remember and we're not even half way through it Is it out or did it leak? Love everything he's done (the drums on the intro to xx are perfection) and that Young Thug song is the best summer song so far Leaked. Yeah the Thugga track is gonna be a bit of a summer anthem but the rest of the album is also very good
MC Prussian Posted 28 May 2015 Posted 28 May 2015 Field Music have come up with yet another (convincing) side project:
Jonezy Posted 4 June 2015 Posted 4 June 2015 Jamie XX's debut album is tremendous That is the truth. Best album I have listened to in a long long time...
MC Prussian Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 Collaboration Of The Year? Franz Ferdinand and Sparks come together to form FFS. http://www.theguardian.com/music/2015/jun/04/ffs-ffs-review-franz-ferdinand-sparks-album
