Guest MattP Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 First impressions, I like it. About time Wasyl came in for Moore and Drinkwater/James/Cambiasso looks very strong in a midfield three. Vardy on the shoulder of the last defender again just like last season.
Guest MattP Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 How does this team work?!?! 4 CMs? Diamond I imagine with Cambiasso at the back and King behind the front two.
Babylon Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Must be a diamond, no width but pace up top. Another out of the hat selection by the looks of it.
GingerrrFox Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Looks a 442 diamond. With Nugent and Vardy upfront. I like the formation but I'm raging that Nugent is still in the side.
jimmer Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 gotta be a 4-4-2 diamond looking at that. A Start for Was and our old strike force runited Do us proud boys
kingfox Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 WTF are we playing here. If we win then bloody brilliant, but first impressions on that team is, has Pearson officially lost the plot!
Stadt Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 A diamond? --------------Cambiasso -------Drinky-----------James -----------------King
dayday Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 A diamond shape, king in front of Cambiasso and Drinkwater,Matty James protecting the back 4. Very interesting today how it will work,my gut feeling is it will
darko2k7 Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Kasper De Laet Was Wes Konch Cambiasso Drinkwater James King Nugent Vardy Maybe ? anyway COYB
DeclanMC Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 I have no idea why Nugent is playing over Ulloa. Though maybe the idea is to introduce ulloa and mahrez if we need width later. Who ****ing knows anymore.
Bamba's Babes Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 H O R R I F I C RDL plays. Nugent plays. Knockeart not on the bench. Hammond on the bench. Moore dropped. One wide play in the squad. Happy to be proved wrong but that selection is damn right fecking stupid.
Stadt Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 A game devoid of quality because we'll be narrow so they can just be narrow and congest the centre of the pitch and be hard to break down. A diamond doesn't work against a side playing defensively or on the counter, I can see us going 0-1 into half time going 442 and winning.
roblcfc84 Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Seriously beginning to worry about these team selections, Nugent has done nothing to warrant another start. Still Simpson and Albrighton don't get a chance.
Finnegan Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Oh for ****s sakes. New week, new formation, new focal points. I'm getting really worried. It might work, I really hope it does, I said that after the really weird Newcastle line up. That turned out to be awful. I really want to believe we know what we're doing but i just can't see how being this unsettled is a good thing.

Happy to be proved wrong but that selection is damn right fecking stupid. I'm not happy with it either but let's how it pans out before making drastic judgements
GingerrrFox Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 I don't understand the thinking behind Hammond having a place on the bench. There are already 4 cm's in the squad and Powell can play in that role as well. Surely an attacking option of Knockaert/Albrighton/Schlupp would be more useful?
jimmer Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Hopefully we can get our passing game going, both drinky and cambiasso have a great eye for dropping balls behind their back line....thats the balls mr Vardy loves
