StanSP Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Score an own-goal. Potentially get a contract extension . Thoughts? Probably in the same guise as Kevin Phillips when he joined. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/esteban-cambiasso-set-extend-leicester-4551360 Leicester have already started to consider extending Esteban Cambiasso’s contract, reports Dean Jones in the Sunday People. The former Inter Milan captain joined the Foxes in August and has made an impressive impact in the dressing room. He has been involved in discussions with manager Nigel Pearson over the team’s set-up as well as helping players adjust to life in the top-flight. And his influence has been so well received that he could be penning a new deal well before his current one expires. Cambiasso, 34, has a long-term plan to become a coach in England so is embracing his role at the club.
MooseBreath Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 If he has had anything to do with recent tactics then no thanks Geoff.
ADK Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 I actually wondered if our bizarre formations were a result of Cambiasso's input.
steveherbe Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 I really want to like him, but Dennis Wise keeps springing to mind. Cmon Esteban, make me look a tw@t
ADK Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 I just hope his plans are mutually beneficial to us.
StanSP Posted 1 November 2014 Author Posted 1 November 2014 I really want to like him, but Dennis Wise keeps springing to mind. Cmon Esteban, make me look a tw@t What? He's nothing like Dennis Wise
Kitchandro Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 I just hope his plans are mutually beneficial to us. Hmm he did play in Italy for a long time and they know a lot about being negative.
ADK Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 He could be player manager the way things are going...
steveherbe Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 What? He's nothing like Dennis Wise Big name, coming to little Leicester? Agree he's not like Wise in any other way, but billy big bollox arrives......
lgfualol Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 I think he's going to wait to see which league we are in before signing anything..
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 2 November 2014 Posted 2 November 2014 Think hes been very average recently, wouldnt keep starting him
Tuna Posted 2 November 2014 Posted 2 November 2014 Doubt he would be any good for us in the Championship next season.
Lambert09 Posted 2 November 2014 Posted 2 November 2014 Im one of the few doubters. He starts every game like a good premier league center mid who has just gone into extra time. Unfortunately I dont think his undoubted class can carry him enough for us, I felt at times yesterday he was our week link. Off the bench when we have a lead, he would be superb for his experience. But not playing 90... never
ScouseFox Posted 2 November 2014 Posted 2 November 2014 our best cm by like 29853629856104270846108256 miles today. stillwasn;t very good tho
the-blue-wildabeast Posted 2 November 2014 Posted 2 November 2014 Wasn't his greatest game but by far the best player at keeping the ball moving and the only midfielder attempting some clever forward balls. Drinky was well off form again and king did his standard no show, other than the header forgot he was playing which is a standard king performance. Let's drop our biggest threat at swansea for someone who rarely has any impact on a game...
Jace Posted 2 November 2014 Posted 2 November 2014 Can't believe Cambiasso is now becoming the new scapegoat
Dickov22 Posted 2 November 2014 Posted 2 November 2014 He saw two passes yesterday that no other player in our squad would have seen. Thought he played well. Of course he's going to get outpaced at times, he's 34.
Itsthejoeker Posted 2 November 2014 Posted 2 November 2014 Big name, coming to little Leicester? Agree he's not like Wise in any other way, but billy big bollox arrives...... Billy big bollocks? What has he done or said to give you that impression? he's probably one of the most humble players on our side!
Callabinho Posted 2 November 2014 Posted 2 November 2014 He's our best player by a mile. The only one who can pick a pass.
suffolk fox Posted 2 November 2014 Posted 2 November 2014 Cambiasso played okay yesterday no worse than any other midfielder. Was the only player who wanted to get the game going running to retrieve balls that went out placing the ball down for the opposition to get on with it re their time wasting tactics. Loved it too when Brunt needlessly kicked the ball away as he was about to take the freekick he then spoke to him for ages about it would have loved to have heard what he said? Made some good intelligent passes yesterday, again not one of our other players made good use of them. Cambiasso the new scapegoat for some? What about Drinkwater who has been woeful for the last five games?
Callabinho Posted 2 November 2014 Posted 2 November 2014 I feel sorry for him to be honest, he's one step ahead of pretty much everyone on the pitch.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 2 November 2014 Posted 2 November 2014 If he hadn't been unlucky with the spur of the moment chance last week and been unfortunate to be in the wrong place yesterday for the own goal, half the people on his back wouldn't be. Aside from some misfortune, he's been fine.
justfoxes Posted 2 November 2014 Posted 2 November 2014 Instead of slagging off the players why not just get behind them!!
Callabinho Posted 2 November 2014 Posted 2 November 2014 Only Leicester fans could slag off one of the most decorated midfielders of our generation.
