Time to man up and get rid!

What's the point of giving him a certain amount of games? He's either good enough now or he's not. Win on Sunday and people will probably think it's a false dawn or a fluke.

He's on his way but I hope the owners do it sooner so we can avoid weeks of speculation and rumour and the players have a new regime to work with.

I just don't know what to think. I like Pearson and think up until now he's done a great job without spending lots of cash. Maybe that is the issue.

Might be time for him to go, though I'm not sure pulis is the answer

The thing is whether the owners decide to stick or twist it doesn't change the fact that two thirds of our team are just not premiership standard.  Doesn't matter who you stick in charge, you can only take a team so far.  We rode the momentum train for the first 4 or 5 games of the season and then once we lost a game we didn't think we would do (Palace) the reality of it all took over and we've been garbage ever since.  No manager will change that.  What it needs is massive changes in January if we want to make a fist of staying up, or go down and try again.  Both ways bring their own risks so who knows what the best way is.  But in terms of results and points on the board this is going to get worse before it gets better as January is miles away in terms of games between now and then.

We need premier league no how and NP hasn't got that he probably needs time to gain that, but we cannot afford that, by getting relegated which is where we are going to end up, Pulis is a short term viable solution he would get us organised and keep us up and bring in some players with prem know how imo.

Maybe it is time to spend the money. Buy players that are better than what we already have and improve the first 11. Then maybe win a few and stay up. I know there will be people on here that will say we are never going to spend 20 or 30 or even 40 million and I want to ask them how do they know?? Our owners have got a lot of money and maybe they want to spend to ensure our safety as I have heard they have said they want us to progress up the league and maybe eventually in to Europe. They are not stupid, they know it is going to cost money so lets spend some right now and improve the team.

But if the owners wanted to make sure that we stay up or at least have a better chance to then why didn't we spend money in the summer when better deals could of been had (The Jan transfer window is never as good as the summer to buy).

And if they didn't spend because Nige convinced them that the team was more than good enough to stay up then...well...whose door does the blame lie for that?

I appreciate what NP has done for the club in the last couple of years.

However, in much the same way that some championship players cannot make the step up to PL, I think the same might be said of some managers and to me, Pearson seems to be one of them

Sorry, but for me, (again),. the farcical tactical decisions contributed to tonights result...Wes off, so sense says you cover the loss immediately....Nigel didn't, result is another defeat.....we're fast approaching halfway and looking clueless, (and more importantly leaderless) at this level.....Thanks for the Championship years NP, but at the moment we're capitulating without a whimper...Time you went!

But we had to score, bringing on a defender means you take off an attacker or midfielder which is pointless, go three at the back and keep trying to score. We kept going with ten and if Kasper had held the simple catch we'd have stayed in the game.

Pearson shouldn't be criticised for not making a negative substitution.

I really wish he'd turn it around because the bloke must be driven nuts by the idiots that interview him.

Please win on Sunday Nigel .... It's not too late yet.

Posted

Nope, I bet they won't .... It was pretty unnecessary from NP I thought ....

Only 3 days to recover Nigel how does that affect your team selection??

I don't talk about team selection, i never do. The players don't know who is playing so why on earth should i tell you?

Without naming players, maybe some insight into what's affecting team selection???

Players.

And why don't you just F off cos I'm so bored of being interviewed about football, why don't you ask me about art or literature or something because I really can't be arsed to answer any of these boring football questions. For what it's worth I think Jimmy Bullard should win - there you go, I've talked about football. Shut the door on your way out.

Oh ... one last thing ..... Tell Stringer he's a knob.

the guy is just so arrogant. In his opinion . His sh.t doesn't stink. Needs a clip qround the ear. No respect for his players or anyone. Really getting tire hearing him speak. When he does he talks such a good and calculated game. Like a polition.  Should run for parliament and give up football

Does anyone really think we are going to win on Sunday ? and even if we do or draw what about the next four games then it's Liverpool away . Just how is Pearson with this championship side going to stay up? We are going to be down with the Christmas lights and no mistake.  :nigel:

Doesn't matter what the Pearsonites all claim in their deluded views and nasty insults to anyone who dares have a differing opinion to them Pearson current record is diabolical as is the reaction of his deluded supporters. He will be sacked very soon no matter what any of us say as the owners are clever business men and will not entertain such foolish arguments many say on here.

No need to say more as he will be gone and good riddance

The cry babies all saying it will be a disaster to replace him - may be someone should show them the league table............... News for you - it is already a disaster.....

Bye bye Pearson and good riddance and even better still it will also be bye bye to all the deluded and vile Pearsonites who hopefully will follow their master to the non league

Bye bye  he he

While I support Pearson, I've often said that those calling for him to go argue their case better, at times, than those who agree with me. This isn't one of those times.

Are you Matt Mills or something?

No one's sadder than me, but we can't live in the past.

Of course, as we've seen this week, his critics disagree with his tactics and personality in a polite, calm, constructive manner.

Too many of our fans still do, and their history horizon reaches even way past last season.

"Delusions of grandeur" springs to mind.

The owners should have man'd up weeks ago when we still stood a chance. It was pretty obvious both the manager and the team were out of their depths then. Now although he has to go I'm afraid either misguided loyalty by the board has doomed us to straight back down.

But on the plus side get a manager in now and although we shall go down he will have time to look at the players and prepare for next season. Although I for one will not be stumping up to watch championship crap ever again. :(

I didn't know it was May already.

Four points off 17th with 23 games to play and "we don't stand a chance"?

Err... right.

With this team and Pearson as manager ? No we don't stand a chance.
