5waller5 Posted 1 December 2014 Posted 1 December 2014 Pretty negative and awful interview by NP on the phone in tonight .... "I've told you I'm not answering those sorts of questions, you already know the answer" to just about every question, whether it was relevant or not, and it wasn't stringer either! Let's hope he's more interested in team talks and doesn't just say, "I'm not giving this team talk again, you know what to do, we've been through this for 3 years, just win alright"

Let's hope he's more interested in team talks and doesn't just say, "I'm not giving this team talk again, you know what to do, we've been through this for 3 years, just win alright" That interview was so awkward as always, I somehow don't think either Ian or Jason will miss interviewing Nigel after he's gone.
5waller5 Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 That interview was so awkward as always, I somehow don't think either Ian or Jason will miss interviewing Nigel after he's gone. Nope, I bet they won't .... It was pretty unnecessary from NP I thought .... Only 3 days to recover Nigel how does that affect your team selection?? I don't talk about team selection, i never do. The players don't know who is playing so why on earth should i tell you? Without naming players, maybe some insight into what's affecting team selection??? Players. And why don't you just F off cos I'm so bored of being interviewed about football, why don't you ask me about art or literature or something because I really can't be arsed to answer any of these boring football questions. For what it's worth I think Jimmy Bullard should win - there you go, I've talked about football. Shut the door on your way out. Oh ... one last thing ..... Tell Stringer he's a knob.
lgfualol Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 Suprised Nigel didn't slate Mahrez for the whole conversation
Silverdaz Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 Bottom line is , can he turn this around , can he make this work Really over last 6-8 weeks the answer looks like NO I genuinely think he is one of a long line of good championship managers who just can't do it at this level Get Pulis in let him spend 30-40 million in Jan and roll the dice There is something wrong behind the scenes Spend 30-40 million you gotta be joking which planet you on there is no way we would spend that obscene amount of money
Robin JD Popley Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 As I said a couple of days ago, there are probably around 5 names that could come in but I don't know how much they'd inspire people. 1. Tim Sherwood (50% win ratio at Spurs and experience in cup competitions too), 2. Glenn Hoddle - as someone else said. 3 - Roy Keane, but would he want the hassle? 4. Michael Laudrup who had a fantastic first season with Swansea but they got rid of him and of course, 5. Tony Pulis. What I would say is though, whether Nigel goes or stays, can we just all assert one fact - why do people keep saying "Is it such a bad thing if we go down?" We've all been there through thick and thin and most of us have waited a decade to see Premier League football again. I make no bones about it - I don't want us to go back to playing some of the rubbish we faced week in, week out for the last 10 years. I really hope most of you agree with me.

Agree - what sort of fans would we be to accept that all we can do is play in the championship - such talk is defeatist - we must fight to turn things around!
AdamN Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 I'd like to know how Pearson is meant to legislate for stupid mistakes by his players. Morgan and Schmeichel have fucked us over tonight.
FoxyPalace.com Posted 2 December 2014 Author Posted 2 December 2014 I'd like to know how Pearson is meant to legislate for stupid mistakes by his players. Morgan and Schmeichel have fucked us over tonight. Managers pay for poor results simple as that! Time to man up and get rid.
AdamN Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 Managers pay for poor results simple as that! Time to man up and get rid. Who here wouldn't have had Morgan or Schmeichel in their starting line up? Pearson got it right today - we played well as a team, but individual errors have cost us. I suppose a more astute manager would have played Moore and Hamer in anticipation of their idiocy?
theessexfox Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 Pearson's done nothing wrong tonight, most of what he could control we did fairly well.
FoxyPalace.com Posted 2 December 2014 Author Posted 2 December 2014 I feel sorry for Nigel, he has taken us so far. But come on, now must be the time to part company. I guess will be sacked tonight or tomorrow.
Webbo Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 I'd like to know how Pearson is meant to legislate for stupid mistakes by his players. Morgan and Schmeichel have fucked us over tonight. Sign players who don't make stupid mistakes.
lgfualol Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 I feel for Nigel this time. I want to see what he does at Aston Villa then see how I feel. Also. We need quality. ASAP
Corky Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 Sign players who don't make stupid mistakes. He didn't sign Schmeichel
FoxyPalace.com Posted 2 December 2014 Author Posted 2 December 2014 [ He didn't sign Schmeichel PRESSURE OF THE PREM.
buzzy Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 I'd like to know how Pearson is meant to legislate for stupid mistakes by his players. Morgan and Schmeichel have fucked us over tonight. problem is they have poor games but he still plays them in the next game de laet should not be in the team but he still picks him.
maynefox Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 As someone said in another thread. If we lose to Villa he might be gone. He's put his trust in this mediocre Championship team and they are putting him in the sh*t. Personally, I hope we aren't too adrift come January. I'd like to see what he does in the transfer market as we do need players. If we lose to Villa I can't see us winning a game till the end of the year. BIG game, as per, Sunday. (That's all I want for Christmas Santa, a new 'effing back four/five) :xmasangry:
Devonfox1884 Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 Bye bye. Not his fault tonight, but his tactics and signings have screwed us over in the last 10 games. Time for him to leave.
Happy Fox Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 No point giving him the Villa game he will f**k that one up as well sack him asap.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 Admire him for what he's done and will never forget his legacy, however, it might be time.
FoxyPalace.com Posted 2 December 2014 Author Posted 2 December 2014 Nigel is clearly under pressure. Looked a little rattled.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 I think he genuinely underestimated this league, our summer signings have made very little impact and we lack serious quality all over the park! He has to take the vast majority of the blame for that at least. Make or break on Sunday I think but sadly I think the writing is on the wall.
