johnny the fox Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Another thread? Yip.. cos I never thought he would.. must be under pressure if true.
Corky Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 The only person he needs to apologise to is the supporter involved. It's their issue. If children were in earshot then the fans using the language should apologise too.
cjslcfc Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 The only person he needs to apologise to is the supporter involved. It's their issue. If children were in earshot then the fans using the language should apologise too. I'm sure that part is just there to try and gain attention to the article. Certainly won't be the first time a child has heard swearing at a football match. After all, the Ulloa song does ring around the stadium at points in the match!
C-man Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Ginetta should get in the bin too. Speaking on behalf of Leicester fans? Bentley's Roof maybe but not the majority. No need for an apology. Keep the expletives coming Nige.
Harry - LCFC Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 I don't believe it did 'sway' your opinion. You've been very consistent in your support for him, some might even say unconditional. Maybe I'm wrong on that score. Whatever, my support for the club is unconditional, but not for him. And I don't think I've tried in any way to make you out as an 'unpleasant person'. In fact my use of 'you' was entirely impersonal, and I thought fairly clear in its reference to the people who have decided that they suddenly like Pearson a great deal more because he behaved like a very poor professional. And I don't think these are unpleasant people either, just misguided. Stringer also behaved like a very poor professional after the game, from the clips I've heard. Not because he upset Nigel with his nasty questions, but because his questions weren't very good ones. I can't say I especially want to see him sacked either. I've noticed again and again in recent weeks that the argument in favour of Pearson isn't focusing on any of the very good reasons for keeping him. To these reasons, which vary from the clearly wrong ('sides who fire their manager in a relegation struggle our doomed' / 'he's had a bigger impact on this club than O'Neill' / 'there aren't any good alternatives out there') to the downright bizarre ('he deserves to remain as our manager for all of this year and next, regardless of how bad a job he makes of it'), we can now add 'he told a lairy fan to **** off then told all fans they could stay at home, which is spot on'. Have you actually stopped to think about how ridiculous that is? I'm not sure that last one is being used as an argument in favour of the man. The whole thing is seen as a bit of a joke by most and not taken too seriously. I have noticed change though, yes. Before, criticism could be brushed off fairly easily by saying "I think he'll turn it around". I still think he will but that won't wash with as many people now so we've had to start making other points e.g. the riskiness of betting on getting someone better, that Pearson is likely to be the best person we could have at the helm in the Championship. They're the two most common ones in my experience. Sorry if I did misinterpret your post (which it seems I did).
Guest MattP Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 If he offers his couch as a way of apology don't take it. Kids, Danger! - Beware of the Cliff.
The Doctor Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Dosnt matter, were talking about a premier league manager here, so unprofessional of him, and it does sound like "die" As I said, you calling me (or anyone) a retard is a massive case of Pot calling the kettle. Yes, Pearson said die, but the tone of voice shows he clearly isn't serious - rather he's just throwing the boot right back at the twat in the stands.

They're the two most common ones in my experience. Sorry if I did misinterpret your post (which it seems I did). I agree. I think he'll turn it around too. I thought it would be Saturday, now we hopefully only have to wait a few more days. And, by the way, I laughed out loud when I heard what Pearson had said, and wasn't at all offended by the comment about our fans. I swing from thinking we're incredibly bad fans (spitting at Little in 94, wanting O'Neill out in 96, not wanting Taylor out in 01, or Holloway out in February 08, or Sven in summer 09, insisting that we appoint Allen ahead of the admittedly twattish but infinitely better Warnock, then hounding out Megson, and making no noise at all for a decade) to fairly standard or even good fans (so many sets of supporters would be baying for NP's blood right now, I'm convinced). I just don't feel I can defend what he said, and don't think we should be doing this. But I can see full well you're not arguing any of that. For the record, you're a good poster and even when I don't agree with you I enjoy your comments. And the occasional debate. And that's not intended to be patronising or owt.
Dan Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 There we have it people. Jason Bourne @JasonBourne1986 42m42 minutes ago Harry Redknapp says Nigel Pearson "doesn't deserve any abuse especially from his own fans because he's done a great job at Leicester." #LCFC Well there you have it. Well said Redknapp.
Dan Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Shouting him and his staff are getting sacked was just one thing that has been mentioned, so I'd say that's something to provoke for starters. If you believe those on twitter who said they were there the bloke had "been trying to get bite". I very much doubt he was politely shouting "Nigel I don't agree with 4-4-2", "Bring on Knockaert Nigel he might mate a difference". That's a conclusion you could draw from the fact there was a video in the first place. Pearson conveniently caught on camera the second he happens to flip at someone. Saying that given their obvious mentality I wouldn't be surprised if they'd been constantly recording Liverpool's players in awe.
Dan Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 For a supporter of the club calling Pearson a 'twat' after all he's done for us he deserved everything he got by Nige. I'd bet good money that he didn't see most of it.
MattGamble92 Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Ginetta represents our fans as much as David Cameron represents working class Britain
The Railway Man Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Cliff Richard or Cliff Ginetta? Both should be doing time.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 The more I listen to the vine, the more I don't think he said 'fcuk off and die' - it's pretty inconclusive and while he probably shouldn't have reacted at all, I don't see it being a sackable offence on its own. "Get him out of the stand and back on the touchline, showing passion" they said. Turns out the haters don't like it when he does that either... Interesting to see people on here and Twitter getting MORE behind the manager after the incident. Let's hope it has a galvanising effect.

I've noticed this too and think Pearson should really cash in on this. After the FT whistle blows at Villa Park Pearson should, regardless of the scoreline, stride up to the away end holding a banner with #FvckTheFans emblazoned on it and watch as the away end roars in appreciation. Should get the lads right up for the next game. Fail safe plan that. Nothing could go wrong.
chapero82 Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 I'm not interested in what pearson said TBH the fan shouted abuse at pearson first with aggression , No way does Nigel deserve that abuse, I feel more sorry for Nigel tbh
ozleicester Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Yeah I forgot to mention that. The question is will this model I'm thinking of pursuing be a better shag then what Natalie was back in the day? Or will Natalie return to her former days of being skinny and a great shag? Ahh but youve neglected to realise that you yourself are not quite what you used to be. Youve moved out of the village and are now in the city, the girls round town have higher expectations of the blokes theyll do and im not sure your clothes and style are what they want. Theres a fair chance that you wont end up with the stunning scandinavian you could once pull. With your current look, you might end up with some scrubber from stoke, that looks fine under the club lights, but when you see her tomorrow sans makeup and sober.....? Yes maybe, Natalie is a bit rounder, but maybe, just maybe, shes learning a few things as she gets more experienced and you can take it from me, as they age and learn, some Natalie's become better than anything youve ever experienced before! I think maybe stick with Natalie, give her a few quid to go out and get her hair done, let her join that Gym shes been talking about and see how she looks come the summer.
FrankieADZ Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 after seeing that Vine, think Pearson should have gone done the Wealdstone Raider route. have to admit, getting sick to the back teeth of hearing so much negative crap from some media outlets.
Raj Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Tbf if you went to a shop as a customer, received bad service and was told to fook off and die by the shop manager you wouldnt be too happy would you? And the manager would probably get the sack.
Dr The Singh Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 ugh thats a bit harsh, that poor old lady reads a bit like "fvcker undies" she heard, fvck ur undies, and thought it was her lucky day
Jace Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 The fans who who shout the foul mouth shit at Pearson at matches I'm sure are the same fans who wanted Paulo Di Canio when we were not top of the Championship and were saying we missed the boat when Sunderland sacked MON for him.
Fox Ulike Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Pretty inconclusive. When i first heard it i thought he was saying "fvckin offside" Either way, storm in a teacup. If anyone is offended by the incident then surely it would be mainly with the gimp shouting "fvckin twat" Its hardly a "spat".
Callabinho Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Whoever did it, did it wanting exactly that. The fact that it is being recorded suggests that it's not the first time this Neanderthal has decided to hurl abuse in Nigel's direction. Whoever it was is poison, and to be honest I couldn't care less what situation you're in, I'm sick of hearing all of this "I pay to watch games" or "I can't make every game" bullshit, therefore I can say what I like, grow up for **** sake, if you begrudge spending money on a ticket just because we lose, then don't ****ing buy one! At the end of the day Nigel is human, if someone was constantly giving me jip at work I'd more than likely tell them to go **** themselves, so grow the **** up, get behind the lads and show them support, you'd be amazed what positivity does.
