Matt Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Played ok. That's doesn't keep you up though, this season won't be remembered for simply playing well it will be remembered for losing and getting relegated. Losing only to 1-0 to Man City and playing well isn't a good result, we lost. There was encouragement there but I still can't see where our next win is coming and we'll be down.
Saxondale Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Oh right so your take on the game is the only one that counts then is it? I didn't say or imply that. This a forum, where people debate issues relating to the club. Do you not understand how it works? If we're all setting out to try and agree, we're going to be here a long time!
Guest Col city fan Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 The report I have just heard on the radio, said it was a dreadful game, and that Man City just put up the shutters after the first goal, and took it easy. It also stated that "Man City played Leicester, like a cat plays with a mouse." That I find worrying. Way off the mark that was mate. It was a very evenly matched game. Bringing on Milner helped them to become more solid when it looked like we were gonna score. Best City performance today in weeks.

It also stated that "Man City played Leicester, like a cat plays with a mouse." That I find worrying. Nah that didn't happen lad, it was a pretty good game and they certainly didn't play us like that. We were unlucky to lose, by their standards Man City were very poor. Way off the mark that was mate. It was a very evenly matched game. Bringing on Milner helped them to become more solid when it looked like we were gonna score. Best City performance today in weeks. Well put Col.
Guest Col city fan Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 mahrez was amazing Nah, not amazing..your usual 'extremes'. He was good today and did some great little bits. But he wasn't amazing. It was a solid, well thought out effort against a very tough opponent. Hard luck today.
The Doctor Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Speak for yourself. I wasn't convinced. You were certainly in the minority, and you've never been convinced by this side anyway. Remember the idea you had that we were certainties for relegation last season? Every sane person was fairly confident after last season and the first three games that they could cut it in this division. It certainly wasn't almost everyone who could see it when it was possible to do something about it, it was just the hyper-negative posters, who are only happy when we're losing so they can moan.
Guest Col city fan Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 man bloody scouse and his "extremes"
cityfanlee23 Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Simpson is a much better defender than De Laet. He played well today. Doesn't offer the pace De Laet has but this means he's not out of position as much. Mahrez was fantastic today, as were the midfield three. Vardy huffed and puffed but just wasn't strong enough. We battled hard and gave everything but constantly made the wrong decisions in the final third and that's what ultimately cost us today. He's definitely not Slow though... Like simpson alot, hopefully if he can hit the form he showed in his early stint at newcastle we could have a very good RB on our hands. Way off the mark that was mate. It was a very evenly matched game. Bringing on Milner helped them to become more solid when it looked like we were gonna score. Best City performance today in weeks. Months

Raj Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Lets not.kid ourselves..we were mediocre against a lackluster man.city team who never needed to get out of 2nd gear. Should have gone for it at the end-we did nothing... We are going pit of this league without a fight.

Effort isn't the issue and never has been. It's quality at this level.

Raj Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Fight...if you call hopeless running around without a clue...okay that fight for you!!!
Guest Col city fan Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 One of the real worries is the form of Burnley! How people underestimated them!
Raj Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Yeah...where are all our burnley baiters gone now???!!!
Danno Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 So many world class players on display today like Mahrez, Cambiasso, etc
ADK Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Looked like Burnley won a smash and grab, I still think they are a poor side.
Raj Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Looked like Burnley won a smash and grab, I still think they are a poor side.yeah....just read your own post again...see that 3 letter word...WON....thats what they do and we Dont do....mind you i suppose we are bigger and better than them in every sense like Pearson said eh???!!!
Guest ttfn Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Officiating was absolutely fvcking pathetic today, particularly the linesman in front of the West Stand, who had absolutely no idea what was going on.

This.. The ref today made the game into a no-contact sport. The tubby sod was pathetic.
Dr The Singh Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 One of the real worries is the form of Burnley! How people underestimated them! They've got players with prem experience and a manager that knows how to make the most of there players.
ARTY_FOX Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Officiating was absolutely fvcking pathetic today, particularly the linesman in front of the West Stand, who had absolutely no idea what was going on. There was atleast 3 occasions that he was to high and not in a position to see an offside or not
