foxes_rule1978 Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Well in no way did Man City deserve to win that game... we played well and battled brilliantly in midfield, but it is clear we are at least 2 quality players short of being a decent side in this league.
MPH Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 I wonder if all those saying we didnt need to improve on the squad in the summer are still thinking the same....
Larry_LCFC Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Better team performance but I hate this hoof ball trait we have developed. The amount of times we turned back from a good position to give it back to Hamer to smash was verging on ridiculous as 9/10 we lose it. Disappointed to have conceded such a sloppy goal but a lot more positives today. Going to be difficult to escape this now.
MooseBreath Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Good performance. Just goes to show that we're not far off the mark in this league. Two or three new signings in January and we'll be fine.
billyn88 Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 I wouldn't be so harsh on Vardy. He gave it all, but his end product let him down today. Vardy needed a season to struggle a bit in the championship and then came back and destroyed it. I don't see any reason to question why he can't do it again but I'm not surprised he's finding it difficult, the guy was playing non league football not that long ago. Just to stop my most nightmarish visions, can we please get to 12 points so I can stop worrying about 'beating' Derby's record?
tylesta Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Every team in the relegation mix got something today bar us. Time for a change. Hull lost 2-0
foxes_rule1978 Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Every team in the relegation mix got something today bar us. Time for a change. Did they all play the team that won the PL and just beat Roma and Munich in the champions league ?
Sunbury Fox Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 How on earth have we ended up so much worse than Burnley. Something very wrong about that.
Guest Bilo Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Every team in the relegation mix got something today bar us. Time for a change. Hull lost at Chelsea and QPR don't play till Monday. That'll be Everton away.
davelcfc100 Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 gutted! a change in manager wont do us any favours, IMO pearson got it spot on today, nothing more he could do, would we have done better if we had a different manager? NO
maynefox Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Better performance and effort from the team, but it still won't do. Most of the players are not Premiership standard at all. We MUST spend in January, but I don't think we'll spend what is required to put up a fight in this division.I can't see us winning again in 2014 and as that trend continues, so does the gap between 20th and 17th. 5 points now.
Tuna Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 gutted! a change in manager wont do us any favours, IMO pearson got it spot on today, nothing more he could do, would we have done better if we had a different manager? NO Pearson needs to go his record is indefensible, period. 2 points from 33 is a disgrace.
tylesta Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 We need a vardy type striker that can finish!
Rincewind Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Memories of the 70's come back. Weller, Wothington et al. under Jock Wallace. Great flair and good to watch but still relegation candidates. Even had one of the best England goalkeepers to date.
chapero82 Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Pearson needs to go his record is indefensible, period. 2 points from 33 is a disgrace. get a grip
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Manchester City were piss poor and still beat us. 4-5-1 made us look more organised, but we didn't have a single shot on target until Ulloa Powell and Knockaert were all on and I'm pretty sure we were no longer playing 4-5-1. It's as I said elsewhere, we'll struggle to create playing a flat 4-5-1 every game.
J.Lisemore Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Look at Burnley's squad. It is no better than ours, if not worse. Difference is, they have a manager who sets up his team correctly for each game. Ours? Well, ours just went loopy. I wonder if Burnley set up to lose v Southampton today...
MPH Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 I actually like the look of that team. It'll pick up some points soon. but shock horrow. we lost against the champions! We need a new CB and another striker and it should keep us up...
KFS Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Pearson needs to go his record is indefensible, period. 2 points from 33 is a disgrace. Bore off mate.
justfoxes Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Great performance pity about the result we need to bring in a proven goal scorer keep it up lads score 1 and hopefully we'll get back to winning ways !!
tylesta Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Pearson needs to go his record is indefensible, period. 2 points from 33 is a disgrace. 6 games ago we was 5 points ahead of burnley, now there 5 ahead of us it aint a huge gap in this divison
The Guvnor Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 You cannot fault the players endeavour but for all their effort we lack the quality required to hurt teams, add too many errors in defence and the losses keep on coming.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Great performance pity about the result we need to bring in a proven goal scorer keep it up lads score 1 and hopefully we'll get back to winning ways !! We did score first for the three previous games before this...
HoustonFox Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Considering the opposition I think we played well. It was over after the goal unfortunately with Man City not needing to leave second gear. One sloppy lapse of ball watching from experienced defenders cost us in my opinion. Biggest worry is lack of chances but considering people were predicting 0-4 results it was ok. Worry is that 4-5-1 is best formation but we don't have a striker that can play it. Vards is probably nearest to it but teams know that we have to slide him through or play over the top and adjust. His first touch isn't quite yet but he is improving. Set pieces are a disaster. I'm more optimistic of performances after today. Not saying we will stay up but at least we are starting to show fight.
Finchy Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Not all over yet, we still have to play everyone again. Good performance, and solid team, just wish we'd played that team for the some of the games over the last 3 months.
