MooseBreath Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 I did watch it and Man city didn't need to get out of first gear. Easy win for them. If it was that easy they would have knocked in a 2nd. Why risk a losing two points to a late equaliser if you can score at will? Make it 2-0 and the game is over.
woznotwos Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Keeping all my chins up , no point moping . Thought the fans were great today all considering. Realistically we probably need 9 wins at least this season to have a chance of staying up. We'd need to get our earlier form back now for the rest of the season.
Guest seanfox778 Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 When we go a goal down we just don't look a threat, it feels like we average about 2 chances a game (I know it's more). I cannot believe how terrible our set pieces are, hopefully with the same energy and a little luck we can maybe pick up points from somewhere but I just can't see it, we need to be a bit more fearless, West Ham will be very difficult but you never know what a win could do for us.
The Doctor Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Plain to see months ago by everyone. Well almost everyone. In the last transfer window? no. We were all sure they could make the step up, even more so after the performances against Everton, Chelsea and Arsenal. By the time it started to look that way, the window was closed and there was no way to strengthen.
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 what ever happened to this rule Offences committed by goalkeepers A goalkeeper is not permitted to keep control of the ball in his hands for more than six seconds. A goalkeeper is considered to be in control of the ball: • while the ball is between his hands or between his hand and any surface (e.g. ground, own body) • while holding the ball in his outstretched open hand • 5 or 6 times I counted over 10 seconds one time he had it in his hands 18 seconds! Hamer probably held it for over 6 seconds on numerous occasions as well, everyone does it.
cc_star Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Who would you play upfront? Who would you play in midfield? From players already here, I'd say the same midfield. Drinkwater was among them in their half and Cambiasso/King got a load of interceptions and with the extra man Mahrez/Schlupp could stay out wide and pegged back two good attacking fullbacks If only we'd played like this against our rivals in the table! Up front it has to be horses for course. Ulloa if we need it holding up allowing other players in or Vardy if we need to make use of pace. Need to sign a forward though, badly!

Dr The Singh Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Look at Burnley's squad. It is no better than ours, if not worse. Difference is, they have a manager who sets up his team correctly for each game. Ours? Well, ours just went loopy. I wonder if Burnley set up to lose v Southampton today... This
foxes_rule1978 Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Pearson has the full support of the players, owners and fans...

Sell/Loan out Nugent and bring in a quality replacement either from abroad or on loan.
Fox92 Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Conceding easy goals. That's a downfall... I don't care if it's Manchester City or Luton Town, we shouldn't be conceding so many easy goals. "A lack in concentration", "they were lucky" are poor excuses... If a team comes and scores great goals, I hold my hands up, but conceding easy goals is one of the most frustrating things. Today, Newcastle's goal, Burnley's goals, Villa's goals etc, it's far too easy at times and they end up being the difference between (essential) points.

Dan0305 Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Thought we played well today and gave it a go. However, I think man city have got a lot more to offer than that. But even then, when they kept hold of ball they looked very good.
cc_star Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 They weren't "Taking it easy" they just played extremely poorly. Doing a huge disservice to our midfield 5 who made it very difficult If only we'd have done that in winnable games instead of the ridiculously easy to play against 442
Dr The Singh Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Great performance pity about the result we need to bring in a proven goal scorer keep it up lads score 1 and hopefully we'll get back to winning ways !!One shot on target in the second half is lot great in my book
tylesta Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Hamer probably held it for over 6 seconds on numerous occasions as well, everyone does it. i know but if it's the laws of the game and if a keeper is doing it repeatedly surely they should be pulled up on it, no point having the law if not
old koppite Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 I watched it too, but saying they didn't need to get out of first gear doesn't do justice to our boys' effort, team work and organisation. At least give us credit for that. Perhaps they didn't because we didnt let them? I think it was a much better day for NP, but so pessimistic now that I do not think we will carry it into the next few games and the board will decide to replace soon. I did watch it and Man city didn't need to get out of first gear. Easy win for them.
HoustonFox Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 So many people moaning we lost to Man City. How Blue are your specs? We should have got more points from the other teams but today we showed a lot more. That's our problem though. Play like that in the last 9 games and we wouldn't be here. Interesting stat. Since we let that equalizer in again Burnley we both played 9 games. LCFC P9 W0 D1 L8 pts 1 Burnley P9 W2 D2 L5 pts 8 Shows the flip in confidence as we've not played that different levels of opposition Need another striker with pace and power. Centre back too. Tactics were right for me, just a little lack in quality. Just imagine we had bagged Pelle...
Guest ttfn Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Officiating was hilariously poor. The linesman in front of the West Stand had no idea what was going on.
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Doing a huge disservice to our midfield 5 who made it very difficult If only we'd have done that in winnable games instead of the ridiculously easy to play against 442 Yeah we could of not had a shot on goal in all of them as well.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Where do Radio Leicester dig up their callers from? "Pearson has clearly lost the dressing room!" Erm, that's actually not clear at all. In fact it could be argued that the team are playing for him, but are lacking a combination of quality and confidence.
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 i know but if it's the laws of the game and if a keeper is doing it repeatedly surely they should be pulled up on it, no point having the law if not Agreed but it's not really something you can moan at Joe Hart for.
justfoxes Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Ffs PEARSONS got it right a great all round performance the only thing missing is the final product and people call for his head still FOOKING ridiculous he'll get it right we will start winning and drawing ffs stay away from the panic button we will be fine !!
adam95581 Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Looking at our final 8 games I still think we've got a chance!
foxes_rule1978 Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Looking at our final 8 games I still think we've got a chance! I'm starting to doubt that, can't see us winning the league now ...
