Yeah we could of not had a shot on goal in all of them as well.

Yeah, cause everyone has got a Fernando, Toure & Kompany etc O_o

Although we did have shots today, if we'd have had this system against likes of Liverpool, Villa and other bang average outfits we'd have picked up points rather than being carved open on every attack conceding record numbers of shots on goal which inevitably mean defensive errors are punished

someone find the cambiasso thread and laugh at col pls I'm on my phone an I want to see col say he was rubbish today despite him being easily the best player on the pitch.

Where do Radio Leicester dig up their callers from? "Pearson has clearly lost the dressing room!" Erm, that's actually not clear at all. In fact it could be argued that the team are playing for him, but are lacking a combination of quality and confidence.

Stringer's mates?

Radio phone-ins cater to angry nutjobs rather than anyone with a balanced view

You should apply for the manager's job sounds easy!

It gets people listening and talking that's why they do it.

The whole City team was garbage today so try and bring quality of opponent into it today is rather silly. They still beat us, and if you think them playing badly was all down to the fantastic job our 5 man midfield did your naive.

Not on goal we didn't, not until we changed the formation, we had nothing of the ball either at one stage in the first half (quite late on) I think we were on 28% which is close to the lowest I've seen in a professional game of football.

Liverpool had three shots on goal in the entire game and scored them all, scoring from defensive shitness and set pieces, Villa similar story. You've got no basis to say we'd of picked up points what so ever given our inability to defend cost us those games, bit like today really.

Happy with how we played today, good effort & we got stuck in; however there is a serious lack of quality in the final third, yet again we play well enough but don't look like scoring.

The goal was at the other end so couldn't see it properly, but for me Wes backed off too much & let the cross come in too easily, then yet again a bit like Sanchez's goal against Arsenal & Gerrard's against Liverpool, nobody was picking up Lampard's run.

Individual performances, Simpson seems better defensively but he gave some cheap passes away, Wasilewski & Morgan were solid enough while I thought Konchesky was superb, the pick of the defenders for me today. Midfield three did well enough, Drinkwater a bit slow in the first half but improved in the second, Cambiasso getting stuck in & passing well again, while I thought King was excellent hassling well & when on the ball, just passed it so simply & calmly. Schlupp did better today, when on the ball he looked decent enough, but yet again kept drifting in & out of the game. Mahrez was superb at times and a real handful, but his decision making at times was quite poor.

We did well enough, and on that performance Pearson certainly doesn't deserve the sack, but he really should of brought some more strikers in the summer, January can't come quick enough.

Doing a huge disservice to our midfield 5 who made it very difficult

If only we'd have done that in winnable games instead of the ridiculously easy to play against 442

So easy to play against that it won us the league last year? I know you're feeling proud of yourself because you called for this formation and it seemed to work OK, but let's not take it too far. We played the same formation against Swansea I believe and it was the worst non-diamond performance since the sousa days.

Played well today it's nice to see a decent performance again.

Oh and if the morons that rang radio leicester and said nigel needs to go because we didn't beat man City are on here. You seriously need a reality check and you are a large part of what is wrong with modern football

In the last transfer window? no. We were all sure they could make the step up, even more so after the performances against Everton, Chelsea and Arsenal. By the time it started to look that way, the window was closed and there was no way to strengthen.

Speak for yourself. I wasn't convinced.

Seems to be working for that Burnley side that are apparently no where near as good as us as well.

Playing 1 upfront we need that quality to be delivering and supporting...

Definitely Need a new striker who is confident playing on his own on the back foot of the defender, Get a new Left winger, and also a box to box powerhouse like yaya toure (They are hard to come across we know but a player like him in the sense he can really attack a game from the centre) Sol bamba?

Much better performance today IMO.

The extra body in midfield made us look so much more solid. The back four looked far better as a result and we limited a world class club side to very very few chances.

If we had continued with 4-4-2 I fear we'd have been ripped open.

I can't fault any of the players for their performances really, though Schlupp needs to do more than he does.

Cambiasso looks best when he's not having to track back defensively. Given support, he can do what he does best. Run the central area.

Up top..well Vardy tried as hard as he could, but we didn't really penetrate too much. The side really does need a good goal taker and a provider for him.

The only real criticism today was again our attacking set pieces. We do literally nothing with them.
