kingcarr21 Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 We have all this talk of new signings but could we see players leave the club whether it be on loan or sold? Could Chris Wood leave after a lack of gametime? Could Championship teams pushing for promotion look to capitalise on some of our players lack of minutes. Can you see any of them request a transfer? Discuss
MGLCFC Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Chris Wood David Nugent Dean Hammond Marc Albrighton Are all possibilities
EnderbyFox Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Hammond, GTF and Albrighton. Possibly Nugent if we bring another striker in.
LcFc_Smiv Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Don't think anyone will request a transfer unless it's someone from the fringes, despite the bad run the one thing that remains evident is that we have a squad who are very much together.
Richard Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 I don't think Pearson will want anyone to leave and that extends to the likes of GTF and Wood. There have been times this season where we've needed even the fringe players and unless a fair offer comes in for them they'll stay. We certainly won't be looking to get rid
kingcarr21 Posted 15 December 2014 Author Posted 15 December 2014 What is the current squad size? How many more players are we allowed to register?
Footballwipe Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 On the contract Nugent is probably on? No chance will he leave. Could see him doing a Gallagher and riding out his pay packet until the bitter end.
cc_star Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 GTF Maybe Wood if he wants more playing time Can't see us entertaining anything else, we don't have to sell... The second half of the season is long we may well need the numbers
MGLCFC Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Knockeart Wood GTF Hammond Thought about Knockaert, but with the ACN, loosing Mahrez and Schlupp for a month makes me think he'll be needed.
MC Prussian Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Knockaert (loan) Wood (loan) Taylor-Fletcher Nugent (loan) Bakayogo
LCCFox96 Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Nugent Hammond Bakayogo (loan to run down his contract) Taylor-Fletcher (either on loan to run down his deal or a free) I'd also try force through an early deal for Gallagher to go to Preston. It's seemingly inevitable he will go there once his deal is up and we may as well offer him for free now to try force through a deal and get whatever money we are still contributing towards his wages off the bill to reinvest it elsewhere. Makes good business sense but may not being in Preston's or Gallagher's best interests so could be difficult but worth a try if his wages are as large as reported.
Guest MattP Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Mahrez Wood Hammond GTF Although I don't think we'll see many if any leaving us.
ronnup Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Powell. Albrighton will be getting annoyed. A lot of Villa mates can't understand how he's not getting a sniff. Wood surely. Mahrez possible.
davieG Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Out of contract June 2015 I believe Knocky Konchesky Hammond GTF Logan Was Adam Smith so any of them. along with Cambiasso
LCFC FOX Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 We can't afford to lose Knockaert on a free, when we first signed him people said they would reject 5mil when arsenal were looking at him
Spicer Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 We probably have to sell a couple to make room for new signings. Unfortunately none of our players will be attractive prospects, after the general performance this season.
Mark Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Albrighton will be getting annoyed. A lot of Villa mates can't understand how he's not getting a sniff. We're stuck with him now, can't see him leaving after we foolishly gave out a 4 year contract.
RizLCFC Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 He needs a run in the side, I don't think Schlupp is the worst player in the starting 11, but how he starts every game ahead of Albrighton is beyond me.
LCFC FOX Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Nothing wrong with Albrighton, he's young and has hardly played, no reason to slag him off. He should be starting regular on the wing with Mahrez
