Babylon Posted 28 December 2014 Share Posted 28 December 2014 Okay so that winless 13 game won, dosnt matter because we didn't get thrashed in any, do we get bonus points at the end of the season because we haven't got hammered?? Of course it matters, but it would indicate we aren't a million miles away from matching 4/5 other teams

foxes_rule1978 Posted 28 December 2014 Share Posted 28 December 2014 Yep and didn't those 13 previous games all happen with Cambiasso in the side? He sounded great today but I think some preach a little too quickly.I think cambiasso has been one of our best performers throughout... him, Mahrez and Ulloa are the players that have shown they have the quality in this league

Col city fan Posted 28 December 2014 Share Posted 28 December 2014 I'm sorry, I'm going to rake this up when goal difference saves us. Very important point Mark.. And I think it could be crucial. West Brom for instance, are currently getting hammered.
marklcfc71 Posted 28 December 2014 Share Posted 28 December 2014 No need for that, I've said if Cambiasso played well today, then I'm well happy. I'm a City fan, first and foremost. So grow up lad. When we look to be really turning this form around, I'll start to believe that the system we play and the players we signed to play it, were correct. But not quite yet. We are still bottom. Great win today though, and well played Cambiasso... It's indicative of the forum that one win, and one good performance, over recent games, from one particular player, and people start gloating once more.. Too soon chaps... Give it time. Guest LCFC_World Posted 28 December 2014 Share Posted 28 December 2014 The way i see it now is that we can stay up. Just forget that 'bottom at christmas' stat and we have as much chance as anyone else in staying up. Beat Villa and Stoke and the table will look much better. Thats all it takes. And remember - we are the 12th man.

lestajigs Posted 28 December 2014 Share Posted 28 December 2014 Just support your team we have no say whether Pearson stays or goes ffs so in the mean time just support Pearson and the lads as it's not Pearson who plays on the field but the players he puts his trust in to win us games blame works both ways !! I do support the team, spends £100s as a fact, I just don't think we have enough quality in the team (that Pearson picked) to survive, but hey he's got another transfer window to strengthen again, which really should of been sorted in the summer
Col city fan Posted 28 December 2014 Share Posted 28 December 2014 And the three wins also came about with him in the team.Sigh... The point is we had lost 13 previous games with him in the side for twelve of them. We win and now that's all forgotten. I'm well chuffed he played well today, but let's not jump the gun eh? This is not laying any blame solely at Cambiasso's door for the 13 losses. Nor is it to claim that he's great. See the balance? As I've said, if he continues to control the midfield, such that we start to get out of this mess, I'll gladly hold my hands up. But let's just wait for more than one game... Larry_LCFC Posted 28 December 2014 Share Posted 28 December 2014 Lets not blow this win out of proportion. Yes it is great that we have ground out a win and got 3 points after such a horrific run, but ultimately we were average against an appalling Hull squad. Any decent team would have beaten us. And remember - we are the 12th man. I'm certainly alot more positive, however it's how we go on from here, I know i'm being a tough taskmaster, e.t.c, but we want atleast a draw on Thursday and we need to push on after that game, ok if we lose against Liverpool there is no shame, but no excuses after that we need points out of the games that follow. One swallow doesn't make a summer and we don't follow today up, like the Man Utd game it counts for nothing.

Dr The Singh Posted 28 December 2014 Share Posted 28 December 2014 Credit where it's due, we battled hard, we got massively lucky today, if we had the same sort of luck throughout the season we may not be in the situation we are now. Pearsons tactics of sitting back nearly cost us, it was like watching 2 champoinship sides, thankfully Hull played like one!! I'm just glad for the win and will enjoy it. katieakita Posted 28 December 2014 Share Posted 28 December 2014 Bet we are last on MOTD and lets be positive about Anfield, we have a pretty decent record there, Remember as a kid in about 80/81 when still at school, went with the Liverpool supporters club from Cheltenham for the game. Took plenty of banter and piss taking on the way up, they were one of the best teams in Europe we were proper crap and won 2-1. They had to get about 10 coppers to escort me to the coach ffs and it was a interesting coach trip back, so believe.

One man can't win a game on his own Col. But it was there for all to see that when Cambiasso was taken off the team missed his organisational qualities and fell to bits. Legend_in_blue Posted 28 December 2014 Share Posted 28 December 2014 I'd rather be in our position chasing the relatively small pack than hanging on to it looking over our shoulders. Astute business needs to take place next month and then we have every chance of making it a trio of teams escaping the drop after being bottom at xmas. marklcfc71 Posted 28 December 2014 Share Posted 28 December 2014 Hull might be awful but they won their last game ... Sometimes the points are more important than the performance . After Tottenham game and not getting what we deserved winning away is so important and getting some points on the board stopping the rot is a massive boost for the up coming Liverpool game. Manwell Pablo Posted 28 December 2014 Share Posted 28 December 2014 No he hasn't. He's had some good games and some decidedly poor games. How have Ulloa and Schlupp been playing? Name them. Ulloa's been bang average just scored some goals. I've never said he was a terrible player anyway just not worth 8 million pounds (which I stand by)there is that reading problem of yours again. Schlupp has been more bad than good, both very ordinary today for example.

Tbf, Liverpool at home I expect nothing, it's your villa, palace, and qpr,s at home. Which are vital for 3 points, which so far this season even at home we havnt beat the teams around us!! Let's hope this kicks start our season
