foxes_rule1978 Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Some people really don't enjoy us winning do they! Bizzare I have a feeling they are all the same people that want pearson gone and never agreed with his appointment in the first place
theessexfox Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Didn't watch or follow but it's hardly a surprise that we sat back and scrapped and were awful for the last half hour, we hadn't won in 3 months and we were never going to be comfortable and relaxed on the ball given the circumstances, we haven't seen out a game in ages, I'm just glad we clung on however we did it.
The Guvnor Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 we rode our luck today but so what, if there is a cloud ten then I am on the f^cker!
5waller5 Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Get a life.....were the spurs defence a bit luckier? Enjoy...its allowed you know!!! I'm enjoying it immensely .... Just replying to a point about the defence being absolutely immense ...... You can enjoy a win and still discuss the game, it's allowed!
chapero82 Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 unbeaten in 2015 for at least 15 hours , great result !! cold beer time !! I'm lost has new years day been already?
Babylon Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Well based on that performance I can't see us staying up at all, despite the result. I'm basing it on more than one result. We've won as many as four other teams, which is ridiculous looking at the run we've been on. We don't need to be amazing we just need to be better than 3 others and that's possible. Sure we need to improve, we need a bit of luck, but no way should we be giving up. Half a season still to go.
5waller5 Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Boo Pearson Out! I don't care how unlucky we were, you make your own luck and we're ****ing shit. Oh? We won? Well we were lucky weren't we, Pearson Out. I think it's a wee bit early for that!!!!! Maybe when we're out of the relegation zone that wouldn't look so childish???
Kitchandro Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 It was always going to be shit. We knew that from the outset. If you think a game between a team with one in 12 and a team winless in 13 is going to be a classic, you're always going to be wrong. Confidence was so low that the chances of us breaking our winless run with a repeat performance of the United game were literally nil, it was always going to be a scrappy, scumbag win by the odd goal. Our objective today, quite simply, was to be less shit than Hull. Mission accomplished. Maybe so, but we were arguably more shit than than Hull, and got lucky. We played well against Spurs when we hadn't won in 12, so why not today? Again, people need to accept we were terrible today, and just be happy with a very fortunate win.
Crazy Kop Corner Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Fan f**ing tastic !!!!! Bring on Liverpool. No Konchesky and bring in Drinkwater and he may just select the right team and give us a chance.
justfoxes Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Now what will I complain about? The weather price of beer etc etc etc
Guest Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 How good was Simpson, damn! I didn't think he was very good. I won't be giving him average in the ratings. For me he was he weakest defender out there. That's 2 fans view for you.
chapero82 Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 People saying this was our worse performance of the season are going a bit far. It was dog dirt ugly. we rolled our sleeves and won, I'm just happy for the 3 points
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Let's just enjoy a rare win tonight and for once cut out the moaning and negativeness.
les-tah Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Honestly ... Painful to watch !! We cannot compete at 442 against teams at this level!
Kitchandro Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Some people really don't enjoy us winning do they! Bizzare They do, they're just not going to get carried away and make out it's anything other than that, like some people are. It's a win. We didn't deserve it, we probably won't stay up, but it's a win. We're happy. But you're not going to get anymore than that from me.
XLM Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Jesus Christ how they didn't score was a miracle. We've spent so much of this season playing well and losing. It's about time we got a slice of the luck other teams have been getting against us. We had one half-chance and Mahrez buried it. Defensive organisation was fantastic at times and a shambles towards the end. Who cares, onwards and upwards.
5waller5 Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 The best bit about that win is that the league table doesn't look so horrible for attracting players in a few days time.
The Doctor Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Maybe so, but we were arguably more shit than than Hull, and got lucky. We played well against Spurs when we hadn't won in 12, so why not today? Again, people need to accept we were terrible today, and just be happy with a very fortunate win. Whether we were lucky, they were poor - doesn't matter, we won and survival is still very achievable (need to gain 3 points over 19 games. Matching their results and beating them will do) - quit being such a miserable arse
Matt Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Stringer and Bourne are hating this. Bourne just said something like "So should we pin some of the blame on Konchesky getting sent off"....erm blame for what exactly? We won? Ok it might have been a silly sending off for what i've heard and perhaps he just phrased it wrong, but it just comes across strange to me.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Simpson was awful for me today, almost cost us.
DeclanMC Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Brilliant to finally win! Now that's 2 cup finals that Steve Bruce has lost in a calendar year. Paul Konchesky finally hammering the point home that he isn't good enough to play at this level anymore.
Aeropars Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 We're gonna really miss konchesky. JK Comments like this really show people for what they really are. we now have no recognised left back against a Liverpool and Newcastle side with a lot of pace. Despite his advancing years, Koncheski remains a very intelligent left back. But for those still saying it..... bolloooooocks!
