GaelicFox Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 Despite what people think most manager changes at this time of year for bottom clubs end in relegation Could the madness of tonight actually help city West brom could be sucked in if they lose berihano ( or how ever you spell it) and the new manager de-stabilises things , looks like it's Tim "I'm better than AVB" Sherwood getting the baggies job hull look like loosing Steve Bruce to Newcastle that could rock them and destabilise Hull Alan Pardew has had quality players at Newcastle owing to a fantastic scouting set up he is taking over a palace team with not so many diamonds that could be a disaster waiting to happen One thing is for sure tony Pulis will be employed by someone in the next week So now that the new year / pre transfer window managerial madness has begun , will all the instability possibly help city ?
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 or Palace, West Brom and Hull all get a new manager bounce?

It's spelt lose, mate
GaelicFox Posted 29 December 2014 Author Posted 29 December 2014 Actually Bruce looks like staying at hull and Newcastle leaning towards making Coloccini player coach till end of year , that could be interesting Can't see all three bouncing Mr Random if changes occur
Mark_w Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 I think Steve Bruce leaving Hull would be bad for us.
GaelicFox Posted 29 December 2014 Author Posted 29 December 2014 I think Steve Bruce leaving Hull would be bad for us. I think they look to be sinking either way (they will be saying same about pearson I suspect ) but looks like Bruce could be staying at hull, Newcastle it seems have Coloccini lined up , apparently it's this scenario that got him to stay last year and extend his contract
sdb Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 Warnock and Irvine were woeful appointments, so a shame they've not stayed longer. Hopefully Collocini and Sherwood are appointed as rumoured as i'm not sure they're much better.
iancognito Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 You see Bruce's face yesterday, looks the same as he did in his last month at Sunderland - worried / defeated / unmotivated. Irvine looks like a man who's just been told "hang on we're tightening the screws on the gallows, might be ready today, if not tomorrow for ya buddy". Bounces only happen with the right man in the right job. Poyet shored up Sunderland, Pulis made Palace believe. Get the wrong guy - Pepe Mel at WBA, Felix Magath at Fulham, Mulensteen at Fulham, Solskjaer at Cardiff, Peter Reid at Leeds, Shearer at Newcastle etc etc and they'll be in even deeper trouble.

Totally agree ...I can't see too many "right guys" out of work at present , if west brom go for sherwood over Pulis that's a result for city I believe
CosbehFox Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 or Palace, West Brom and Hull all get a new manager bounce? Palace's biggest problem in the next month is missing Bolasie and Jedinak to international tournaments.
shailen Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 In general stability is the way forward because it takes time for a new manager to imprint his ideas on a football club. Neither Palace or West Brom have time so it's interesting to see whether they can respond and stay up.

Gubbins Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 Both Colin and Irvine were terrible appointments and neither would have led their clubs to higher than 16th if they had stayed til the end of the season. Unless they both go for equally poor managers again I don't see how this benefits us at all.
Deucalion Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 Here's a rumour without any source what so ever, but many West Brom fans hold Pearson in high esteem and have been saying for a while that if he gets the push at Leicester, they would have him like a shot. This is just the opinion of fans though, nothing more. Personally, I don't think he would be better off there, regardless of current league standings. Leicester can go further than WBA, so long as we can stay in this damned league.
Max Power Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 If Baggies appoint Pulis it's trouble for us, Tactics Tim and I'm more confident. Don't really know what to make of Pardew at Palace.
Raj Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 Really cant see why Pards wopuld want the Palace job. I know its always abit dodgy at Toon but they really are bigger than palace in every way. AND he must be on a good whack...didnt he sign an 8 year deal a couple of years ago?

They even said Palace could pay more.

Oh im suprised at that...mind you with Mike"SportsDirect-Buy all your chav gear for under a tenner" Ashley in charge perhaps thats no suprise!!!
ronnup Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 Oh im suprised at that...mind you with Mike"SportsDirect-Buy all your chav gear for under a tenner" Ashley in charge perhaps thats no suprise!!! Popular thought is that Pards was well into Ashley for loads of coin from gambling. Hence a massive contract for pennies. He was essentially working back money owed. Could be horse shit but wouldn't surprise me.
GaelicFox Posted 30 December 2014 Author Posted 30 December 2014 Pulis going to west brom by all accounts that's a good signing for them he will organise them at the back
Stevosevic Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 Bad for us. It doesn't get much easier than being up against two clubs managed by Warnock and Irvine at this level.
Fox in the North Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 Bad for us. It doesn't get much easier than being up against two clubs managed by Warnock and Irvine at this level. You say that, but previous results against both of them this year say different. I'm hoping this merry go round screws over at least two of them!
SMX11 Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 Not sure Pulis would stand for the structure West Brom have. Did he not have a hissy fit at Crystal Palace about transfers?
Stevosevic Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 You say that, but previous results against both of them this year say different. I'm hoping this merry go round screws over at least two of them! It shows how bad we have been sitting behind sides managed by those two. These changes will make it harder for us stay up, Pulis and Pardew are solid managers at this level.
