Babylon Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Clearly I'm the only one who thinks it makes perfect sense considering injuries, suspensions and fatigue. Presuming we line up as I'm guessing.
Babylon Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Surely if it was a back 5 then Moore would start? I'm expecting RDL right wing, Schlupp left back and Mahrez left wing in a 4-1-4-1. A lot could depend on how Hammond does. Can't see him playing Schlupp and Mahrez both that side and that's why I think one of the RB's will be left back.
davieG Posted 1 January 2015 Author Posted 1 January 2015 Clearly I'm the only one who thinks it makes perfect sense considering injuries, suspensions and fatigue. Nope me too, logic seems to fly out of the window.
GaelicFox Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Nige had too many pills at the all nighter last night !
Number 6 Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Can't see him playing Schlupp and Mahrez both that side and that's why I think one of the RB's will be left back. Fair point, I guess we can rotate if need be too.
davieG Posted 1 January 2015 Author Posted 1 January 2015 I'm pretty sure we pay a lot ££££ s to fitness experts to advice Pearson on this.
I am Rod Hull Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Did anyone see that analysis on Arsenal's game at Liverpool, Flamini not being able to do the defensive work on his own and whatnot? Maybe Nige took note of that
jonthefox Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 I would have thought the newcastle game would be better to rest players. But then again, what do i know.
Dr The Singh Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Clearly I'm the only one who thinks it makes perfect sense considering injuries, suspensions and fatigue. Presuming we line up as I'm guessing. Nope, i thought the same
Greatness_Since_1884 Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 With Liverpool's front 3 I think the key to protecting the back 4 is mobility, which is probably why Hammond plays over Cambiasso
Number 6 Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 I'm pretty sure we pay a lot ££££ s to fitness experts to advice Pearson on this. Indeed plus they'll have all the hawkeye stats so will know if Ulloa's movement slowed or Cambiasso didn't cover as much ground.
cjslcfc Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 This team is aimed at fast counter attacking. It's probably our quickest side (bar Hammond and James). Some frightening pace in schlupp, de laet and vardy. Think it's quite an understandable team selection given fixture congestion and fitness.
Finn Claw II Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Hopefully we can keep it tight with this formation, would like to have seen ulloa start but as others have pointed out he is probably not fully fit Odds on Vardy being hacked down in the box and shooting straight at the keeper from a 1 on 1?
Spicer Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Radio Leicester just said De laet will be at left back.
Babylon Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Indeed plus they'll have all the hawkeye stats so will know if Ulloa's movement slowed or Cambiasso didn't cover as much ground. I'm not sure they even needed that. Ulloa was virtually crawling about on Hands and Knees ha.
ealingfox Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Radio Leicester just said De laet will be at left back. Then God help us all.
Babylon Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Then God help us all. No you are right we'd be better off playing a young striker there... we'd be dead solid then.
kingfox Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 De Laet was shocking for Norwich at left back. They might as well get back on the coach and go home.
SlaneyLCFC Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 "Stadium sniper in position awaiting callsign sterling, over" errrrrrroger that echo1. cmon leicester let's get back to back wins for the 1st time this season
Number 6 Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 I'm not sure they even needed that. Ulloa was virtually crawling about on Hands and Knees ha. Think with one up top we need to be mobile too so Vardy could work. Hope he's got his shooting boots on.
Daveaway Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Glad to see Hammond, since he not been in the side we been on that losing streak except for last week, he seem calm and collective on the ball and protects the back 4
Harry - LCFC Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Clearly I'm the only one who thinks it makes perfect sense considering injuries, suspensions and fatigue. Presuming we line up as I'm guessing. I don't think it's that bad either. I don't entirely agree but I'm not appalled by certain players being left out. Certainly not resigned to defeat already.
RowlattsFox Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Hopefully stay in the game and maybe have a go towards the end. Vardy will trouble them, let's hope he has more clinical day. Didn't think we'd get anything before, and still don't.
MC Prussian Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Hopefully, we can emulate our home performance against Manchester United today. Anfield is a tough ground to get points from - but you can't win if you don't dare to win it.
