Corky Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Clearly I'm the only one who thinks it makes perfect sense considering injuries, suspensions and fatigue. Presuming we line up as I'm guessing. I can see the logic, it's not as though he's thrown the kids in unprepared is it? He's had an enforced change, brought in Hammond because King is injured and Cambiasso maybe can't manage a full game, Vardy has to start showing form. I don't see it as a bizarre line-up at all.
J.Lisemore Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Come on lads, nobody is expecting anything but a loss from Anfield. Although Liverpool aren't all that, with our team line-up we're gonna need a bit of luck.
DennisNedry Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Hammond's probably got the best points-to-games played ratio of our squad (after Hamer of course)
MC Prussian Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 If Sterling comes up with the same type of play-acting again every time one of our players touches him, Big Was should take him out for good at the very end of the match. Provided both are still on the pitch by then.
Vicki Vixen Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 8/1 for the win.. and 15/1 for was to score.. . here comes the cash "...said the bookmaker gleefully"
sdb Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 pretty sure it's just 442 with RDL or Simpson at LB. Threw me at first though. Not a bad side but did expect Cambiasso to start and ideally Ulloa. I think both defences will struggle to cope with opposition attacks so hopefully we do give it a bit of a go.
StanSP Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Thought Cambiasso would have started but can see the logic in the line-up.
sylofox Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 I would have thought the newcastle game would be better to rest players. But then again, what do i know. Do you sleep when you are knackered?

With Liverpool playing a 3 at the back it means three players have to mark Vardy, so there should be some space in the channels either side for Schlupp or Mahrez to run into.
Captain... Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 http://www.liverpoolway.co.uk/index.php?/topic/107225-wiziwig-streaming/ Liverpool forum discussing ways to watch the game if anyone is interested...
iancognito Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 De Laet was shocking for Norwich at left back. They might as well get back on the coach and go home. Good God..............................
Blue Ed Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Few negative comments on here I don't see it myself. Team full of pace and a packed midfield could see us hitting them on the break and leave 2-0 winners Good to see Hammond back. Thought he was decent first few games for us De Laet will play in defence and his pace will be useful against Sterling Vardy did ok up front this season

ealingfox Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 All this bollocks about fitness and fatigue - look at Burnley! Been playing the same XI week in week out, got a draw away at Man City through a second half comeback just a few days ago, and the same XI start today.
Guest ttfn Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 4-5-1 is very defensive with no King (I know FFS injured).

MC Prussian Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Ah, how cheeky by Mahrez! Almost went straight in from his free-kick!
Babylon Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Ooooh ya ****er Mahrez... post and bounced across the face of the goal
