Just still in Florida, finished st petes, amazing city, in Orlando downtown, then off to see some lakes and do a bit business and head back.  Been massively indulging, the wife has done so much shopping, we brought 3 more suitcases.

Taking a massive suitcase of all the craft brewery beers I've been going, loving it.

Had a fantastic week in Palermo a couple of weeks ago. Good weather, plenty of sightseeing across that side of Sicily.

Heading to Split for a week on Sunday. Booked a day trip to Dubrovnik, a couple of national park trips, and the stadium tour for Hajduk Split for something else to do!

West Sicily is amazing. Levanzo, Favignana, San Vito, Mazarra, Scala dei Turchi, Selinunte. Great beaches, history, food and a quite north African vibe. Feels very different from anywhere else in Italy.

Not been back to Sicily since the 80's but Cefalu is a good place to stay. Found Palermo quite intimidating but the catacombs very interesting including the little girl. Worth a trip up Etna and Agrigento.

I absolutely love Italy. I can't believe my first ever visit there was last May !

Really liked Naples, it's bonkers, edgy, but safe enough & football mad. Verona was lovely too.

It's a cliche but Sicily isn't really Italy. Especially the western part of the island. Verona is nearly as close to Gdansk as it is to Trapani. South western tip of Sicily is about 95 miles from the coast of Africa.

Moved to Palermo in 08 and it's changed massively since then so can just imagine what it was like in the 80s. Intimidating sounds about right. Still is in some parts.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for places to eat / drink in Dublin?

There for the first time but only for the day so I assume heading to the Template Bar area will be best?

Depends how tight you are ?

So many craft breweries in St. Pete, a great town to visit. We've spent a lot of time in Three Daughters, burgers were excellent, too. Any favorites for you?

Off to Vegas in December to do so.e business the wife wants to go also........expensive.

Were thinking we palm springs, mammoth lake and maybe phoenix

We're heading to Arizona next month, visiting Scottsdale (Phoenix) and Sedona. Grand Canyon is doable from Vegas if you've never been. It will be cold, but still breathtaking to see it at sunrise or sunset.

Sedona is legit one of the coolest cities I have been to. We stayed in Flagstaff and did some day hikes in the canyon, and the whole trip was incredible. I kind of wish I booked one of those cabins at the bottom, so we could go all the way down.

Temple bar is 100% touristy.

For decent pubs frequented by Dubliners stroll half a mile away in any direction for a proper Dublin pub experience.

I am visiting a relative shortly in Copenhagen, which @The Year Of The Fox has now killed my buzz about (jokes)

Any general steers would be welcomed with gratitude - not been for 30 years.

Beautiful place if you don't sit in a pub all day before Leicester playing there.

I suppose it depends what you are after HPF. A bit of a nature, a bit of history, indulging on food?

This weekend I had my whistlestop trip to Belgium.

You'll be unsurprised to know my only delayed train was Leicester to London but at least I got half of the fare back before Sunday night. Eurostar a dream as ever

Mechelen - city 80k - Anne Boleyn had a dalliance around there. Very pretty market in the centre of the city. Felt like Belgium without the tourists, more of a locals feel. Very noticeable just how much young people are out drinking and eating compared to the UK. And it looks like they feel safe too. Had an excellent food court. An extraordinary cathedral at the centre of the city.

I cycled from Mechelen to pretty much Antwerp, some very pretty villages and scenery.

Antwerp - After leaving the extraordinary station, I sort of walked through a lot of nothingness and thought this city was going to be dull. Then I took a single turn and it was a beautiful street. Borderline Parisian in parts - must have been the diamond business what did that. Visited a beautiful brown cafe, Oud Arsenaal.

I''ll go into detail about the football side on the groundhopping thread. But a really enjoyable trip, just wish I'd allowed some gap for the constant travel.

Liked them all though.

Haven't been to the others. Would love to go to Lisbon and Madrid, not so desperate to go to Dubai.

Istanbul, Venice and Vienna would probably be my favourites.

Tricky as visiting a city once is an ephemeral part of your life, if the order was slightly different I'd feel differently about a few. Rome and Copenhagen (to Aarhus/Randers) were following Leicester and it's about the worst way to see a place. Although Madrid was amazing.

I've only been to Edinburgh once but it was during the Fringe Festival so haven't properly seen it. Similarly only went to Copenhagen for the CL match.
