Off to Japan in 3 weeks for 11 nights. Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and a day trip to Hiroshima.

On my way to Tokyo now for 9 days.

Need to find somewhere to watch the Forest game and United in the fizzy cup. Any ideas?

Not a holiday as such but my youngest Daughter has flown out to North Carolina this morning for 3 weeks working but will have a some time at weekends to kill.
She’s flown to Raleigh but working at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville.
Anything to do fairly locally?

In Magaluf. What a shihole, LOLZ

Perfectly decent hotel to be fair.

Think we might need to up the budget next year. Although a lot have buggered off home now, there were a few too many of the not-quite-sure-how-to-act-in-public lot for my liking at first. One woman screamed at her kids so much she had to explain why to the four Guarda Civilia that showed up in front of everybody in the hotel reception, which was a bit grim for everyone. Security also had to remove two pissed up women from the kids only pool after repeatedly being told they shouldn't be there.

Must be a lot of Harry Potter fans here as  loads of kids seem to be cosplaying Dudley Dursley

Arrived in Dubrovnik yesterday.

Christ, thought I was decent at putting in some walking miles on all sorts of gradients….this place is on another level!!

Even a ten minute walk to a restaurant has me considering a Deliveroo or Uber eats 😂

Got back yesterday from a week in Montenegro 🇲🇪. Absolutely beautiful country, didn’t want to come home. Stunning scenery. Great trips to Durmitor and Tara Canyon, Lovćen & mausoleum, Perast. Stayed in Kotor overlooking the bay, ten minutes walk into town. Tivat Airport was a novel experience coming back, but probably my favourite trip over the past couple of years

Just done 4 nights at Disneyland Paris with the family, surprisingly really enjoyed it. If anyone needs any tips I’m now a fully fledged expert.

Off to buy some bread and milk for the rest of the month….

Sal in Cape Verde for 10 days in June

Just got back from a week in Santa Maria.

Amazing coastline and sealife and the people there are great.

I heard quite a few people suffer with the old traveller's tummy, mind.

Yes, we flew into Tivat from Birmingham with Jet2. Tiny airport, had to wait outside for the flight coming back with our flight delayed, luckily it was sunny! Podgorica is the other airport, can be reached direct from Manchester and London I believe. We had 7 nights in a basic guesthouse with an incredible view that worked out at £190 each for 7 nights! Had a good balance of chill time and some great day trips. 70% of the country is mountains. Highly recommend it. I’d love to do Bosnia as well

Nice one, didn't realise you could fly direct there! did you feel you needed 7 days, could you do it in say 5? would definitely stay in a few places whilst there to make the most of it.

Could do, but 7 gave us a good balance of relaxing and exploring. They have a good ski season in Durmitor apparently! Advised to avoid in the height of summer as it’s so hot. April May June, September October are good times to go 👍

Maybe my favourite European country apart from the ones I've lived in. Incredibly beautiful and wonderful people.

This was my morning arrival. Not quite the reception Charles and Camilla received but fairly impressive!

Had dinner with a view of the bridge, with fireworks. Quite a special day.
