Booking for 20th wedding anniversary in September.

Looking at going for a week.

What would be the ideal stay?

The whole week in Peschiera with a day trip to Verona or a 3 or 4 night stay in each?

Depends what you want really. It’s good there for relaxing and just mooching in cafes next to Garda, taking a boat trip etc. If you want to do something a bit more active then a day in Verona, you could get to Venice or Milan too by train, or head up further along Garda.

Went there in May. Absolutely loved it. Not a massive city & not as touristy as Rome/Florence.

Managed to see Verona v Inter too !

Along with Naples, Verona is top of my list of favourite Italian cities.

Nice one I’m really looking forward to it.

Fancied an easy 4 days away so booked a hotel in Alicante, never been but looks ok.
anyone spent time there ? I’m not expecting much but thought it’s a quick easy option for the future so trialing it out.

Only visited for a day a day,  couple of years ago. Very pleasantly surprised what a nice city it was.

We live a couple of hours down the coast and we've been a few times, it's a nice city. The tram system is great if you want to venture out a bit too.

Thanks , yeah been to a few places up the coast , last year we spent 2 weeks In Altea and loved it. Always fancied trying out Alicante but never actually stopped there just driven past but the older I get the easier I want my breaks away to be so hopefully 🤞 if all goes well I’ll do it more.
booked a hotel over looking harbour.

Been to Paros and Naxos and both beautiful. I think the beaches in Naxos are probably the best I've seen in Europe.

Ended up booking Naxos, got an incredible villa.

Really hoping to go to the Ashes in Dec/Jan.

Have some apartments booked on cancellation, booking flights in the next couple of weeks, thing I am after is how to get tickets.

Family Trip, the lad has somehow blagged 6 weeks off work, I'm stuck with 4-5 weeks so Adelaide onwards, he's going to Brisbane.

Any nuggets, advice, insight, past experience greatly appreciated.

I did go in 98's but was already in Asia backpacking & came from India, and guessing tickets were way way easier to get.....

Yep any help much appreciated

Off to Marrakesh at the start of February and booked Bosnia for mid March!  First time out of Europe for Morocco and back to the Balkans, probably my favourite part of the world so far

We're going to Marrakech for the first week of March, first time in Morocco for us so you'll have to report back please!

Best part of the world for sure. Been living and travelling on and off there for 17 years and feel like I've barely scratched the surface. Bosnia is wonderful.

Bosnia is more beautiful and interesting than either in my opinion.

Go down to Macedonia. Beautiful scenery and some amazing cultural heritage. Kosovo too, though it's harder to travel round. Northern Greece is also a real favourite of mine, especially Epirus and Rodopi.

Top of my bucket list

Mine too.

My old man said if he doesn’t go this year he never will as he’s in his late 70’s now.

The price is a rip off and he’s spending my inheritance but it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity.
It’s only for the Monday practice day as the tournament is sold out but even so.
Just want to experience the place IRL.

Excited now 😊. Managed to get to Ohrid, Prizren and Pristina last year when visiting Albania. Such endless places to see over there 🙌
